Although I live in Ayrshire, this was a shopping & dining out treat
Pros:

Perfect location, evening meal at Bistro was excellent, I went for Haggis,neeps ,tatties delicious & filling, although filling, I was greedy & went for sticky toffee pudding & icecream .
I did not have breakfast as I left too early in the morning, but breakfast menus looked really good 👏

Cons:

Lovely big bath with overhead shower was brilliant, however as over 80 years I had the fear of slipping getting back out , next time I will ask if they have a room with a walk in shower which I am used to

Comfortable and relaxed
Pros:

Lovely receptionist making check in easy and offering all possible advice on the hotels free parking and internet and information about the exceptional bar and incredible value for meals

Lovely stay
Pros:

Had a fantastic stay with my husband. The hotel and rooms were clean to a high standard.

The food in the bar was epic, my husband says it qas the best steak pie hes ever had. The staff were all super friendly especially Kali. We were made to feel so welcome. Will definitely be back again.

Good central location but felt dated.
Pros:

very central location at the end of the high street. The bed was comfortable, the heating adjustable and there were tea/coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom was well setup and clean

Cons:

The room decor had a very 1970s vibe with very dated furniture. Everything worked well but all the dark brown was not very inviting.
