The bed was so uncomfortable-you could actually feel the lumps and bumps. I was offered another room when I mentioned it to a member of staff but as I only had one more night I decided to put up with it. I did ask for someone to have a look at it but don’t know if they did as I was out most of the day
Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Good food. Close to town centre and beach.
Great location in the centre of town, near the bus and train stations. Loads of pubs and eating places on the hotel's doorstep. Easy access to and from Prestwick airport which provides an excellent alternative to paying ridiculous central Glasgow weekend hotel prices.
Nothing really.
Location was excellent we didn’t have breakfast the room was neat and tidy
das hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen in der nähe des bahnhofs. die zimmer sind einfach aber sehr, sehr sauber. es hat alles was man braucht. preis-leistungs-verhältnis ist absolut gut.
Our room (3, at the front) was large and warm, with views over Burns Statue Square. The room itself looks a little dated, but the bathroom was modern and spacious, with a good shower and lots of room to lay out cosmetics etc. There was a kettle and lots of tea/coffee bags.
We ate in the bar one night and were overwhelmed by the cheerfulness and attention of the waiter/barman. The tempura vegetables were wonderful.
The hotel is only a five-minute walk from Ayr railway station, right at the top of the High Street. Also a three-minute walk from the bus stop for the bus to Ayr Hospital. And a cinema just across the road.
The car park is very small, and rather badly lit.
In our room there were two comfortable chairs in the bay window, but no table between them, so nowhere to park our teacups.
Didn’t eat
Bath only, no shower. No hairdryer, noisy traffic
The slowness of service and the bar closed 9pm for residents.
Pleasant very clean room, helpful and friendly staff including the breakfast staff next door.
Free parking at the hotel was useful.
Nothing everything was fine.
The cleaning staff were very helpful. The receptionist and bar staff were first class.
A better view from my room
clean and room was fine
Second floor room - big trek with luggage up narrow stairs
Creaking and cracking noise from 5.30am - no more sleep
Breakfast quoted at £15- a bit expensive
