Perfect Location

Great location and friendly staff
Pros:

Our stay in Hotel Starkl was very comfortable and made even better by the warm and friendly staff. The location is spectacular. Views over Lake Bled, Bled Island and the Castle. A bonus was waking up each morning to a delicious and varied buffet breakfast and then heading out for an easy walk along the lake into town or hopping onto a pletna (traditional boat) straight in front of the hotel. Bled Mlino bus stop is outside the hotel with regular buses running in either direction towards Ljubljana or Bohinj Ukanc. We had dinner at the restaurant two nights and the food was so delicious and reasonably priced. A kettle, small fridge and tea and coffee were provided.

I really liked the location - about 30 minutes from the city center, with a bus stop right next to the hotel. The restaurant inside the hotel was excellent, with very tasty food and generous portions. The room was clean and warm, I enjoyed the view despite the small window, and the simple breakfast was very good; the toiletries set (shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion) was a nice touch.

Great location, good breakfast. I had to book 2 rooms as we were a family of 4 so paid twice. Disappointing there wasn’t

Location was fantastic, right in front of the lake. Good breakfast

Cons:

Had to pay for parking per day which was disappointing & after we checked out we wanted to use the bathroom before our return journey but were told there was a €1 charge!! Really!
