Gutes Essen. Freundliche Personal.
Eigentlich nichts
sehr ruhige, schöne Lage, sehr freundliche Personal
Einfach alles.
Von A bis Z
Authentic, cozy hotel. Lovely staff, large rooms with comfortable beds. Loved the warm sunny balcony. Restaurant has beautiful sweeping views, serving authentic Swiss meals. Exceptional location, many hikes accessible from the hotel, and a short drive down to Weesen and the lake.
There is no wifi in rooms, only in common areas - suited us fine, but the teenagers weren't too pleased.
Good 3 star hotel and a great spot in the mountains, ideal to start hiking, nice terrace with great scenic view, pretty good breakfast, spacious rooms, helpful and friendly staff
Very solid but with a somewhat traditional and old fashion style
Family Stay
We stayed 3 nights with our children and loved the experience. The location is excellent, close to ski areas and a ski school for kids.
Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The dinners were tasty and varied, while the breakfast, though decent, could improve.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We’d gladly return to this cozy hotel!
Wonderful location, great views from balcony, a comfortable room, very nice and friendly staff.
Hotel is very close to ski slopes. Very clean and all staff very friendly and nice. Different spaces to spend time. Our family enjoyed the time very much. We plan to visit this hotel again.
The view was unfortunately obscured by scaffolding. We didn’t mind, it is understandable & inevitable to do restoration from time to time, but it would have been nice to receive a forewarning.
We (2 adults, two school-aged children) stayed in the ground-floor family room (small entrance hall + 2 bedrooms with en-suite shower) for a week and highly recommend it.
The rooms were spotless clean and comfortable. There even was a small fridge, which we used to store milk and other supplies for the kids.
The play room might not be super appealing at first sight (no windows) but the children didn't bother and had a great time.
The entire staff was extremely friendly, and especially child-friendly. We were a multilingual group (friends travelled with us) and found, contrary to other comments, that language was not a barrier at all. We had booked a half-board and were happy by the variety, the quality and the size of the portions.
Loved the fact that one could practically take ski off from the hotel. The ski school being a 5 minute walk away made it even better.
If I had to suggest any improvements:
- Elaborate children's menus a bit, add more vegetables. Offer carrots and cucumber (raw), always a highlight
- Pimp up the play room with some lights and colours
We stayed two nights in the hotel and enjoyed very good food and excellent service. In the evenings we went to the sauna and thanks to a very good infrastructure we watched a movie with the family.
The best of: Plum pie (optional with whipped cream) and
salad with homemade sauce.
Best recommended family hotel in the region.
