Would definitely stay again
Pros:

Lovely quiet room, comfortable bed. Although they don’t breakfast, there are porridge pots, yoghurt, fruit and croissants available

Close proximity to town, and Abergavenny & Monmouth close by.
Pros:

Although not B & B in the normal sense, there was a continental feel to what was on offer, such as croissants, pain-au-chocolat, fruit, yoghurt... We had a dog friendly room so it satisfied what we needed. As for evening meal, the pub meals are excellent! Couldn't be faulted.
Close to everything we wanted to visit, and we have stayed here a few times, now.

Cons:

The hot water (or lack of) was a bit of an issue...took us a while to get it coming!

Met my needs for an overnight stay.
Pros:

Central location. While there was no breakfast served the items provided in the room fridge and in the landing were more than adequate

Cons:

Nothing really, it was fine for one night but the lack of any decent ale at the bar was disappointing

Lovely find in a lovely village ❤️
Pros:

Lovely little place, room was really nicely furnished with a mini fridge full of complimentary items, there was also a basket of croissants etc in the hallway for guests 😊

We ate there in the evening and the food was top class, would recommend

I left my bracelet there which was of sentimental value, I messaged the hotel and they immediately got back to me to advise they had it and sent it back via the post very quicky ❤️

Nothing, everything was great 👍

Cons:

No restaurant breakfast facilities. We have to book in to a local hotel for breakfast.

Breakfast was only okay; fruit, yogurt, instant porridge and filled croissants to eat in the room. Orange/apple juice,tea and coffee, milk and water in the fridge.

Exceptional hotel with extremely friendly staff, comfortable rooms and in a superb location.
Pros:

Exceptionally hotel situated in a picturesque square in rural Usk. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the downstairs bar warm and welcoming, the restaurant was cosy and the food was good. This is a hotel where I need to find an excuse to stay at again.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the hotel is not doing breakfast at the moment but there are other places that do

Hospitable Country Inn
Pros:

The Castle Inn provided some lovely touches, the room was toasty on arrival as they had put an extra heater on to welcome us. Another lovely touches was a treat fridge containing yoghurts, juices and water. I especially liked the bottle of fresh milk as it’s so much nicer than UHT. There was also complementary fruit porridge and cereal on the landing. Add to this complementary toiletries, quality towels and bedding, we were very comfortable. We didn’t eat there but the locals rate the food highly.

Cons:

We were not warned about the step down into the room. My husband didn’t see the little note on the door and consequently had a nasty fall. When I reported this to staff the reaction was to laugh.

i love staying here, i have stayed twice now and would not stay anywhere else. I love it.
Pros:

The location is perfect. The rooms are beautiful, so clean and comfortable and cosy. Room 3 very beautiful view and would make a wonderful romantic stay. The food is really good too. The staff are very friendly and accommodating

Cons:

it isnt their fault because Sunday evenings are very quiet but Usk is very difficult to get a meal in on a Sunday night as most places close. Best to book a restaurant ahead of arrival if you want to eat in the town on a Sunday night.
