Not for us...
Pros:

The location was excellent - great for walks, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Most tours also offer free pickup from this area. Our favourite nearby spots were Lang Ong Restaurant (the ribs are exceptional) and the small family run bánh mì shop Bụ Bánh Mì (we had multiple banh mi daily and they were so so good).
The staff were very friendly and polite, both at reception and in the restaurant.
Although the hotel is located next to a very busy street, there was minimal noise reaching the room, and we were able to get a good night’s sleep.

Cons:

Our main issue with this hotel was its overall condition. The presence of black mold in the bathroom made it extremely unpleasant for me to shower. Even the curtain covering the glass shower wall was moldy, so if you value privacy, be prepared for that compromise. Same with bedsheets - they has some small round black stains.
Both the restaurant and room furniture were in poor condition, with chairs visibly stained. The cups and plates in the restaurant didn’t appear properly cleaned - I’ve included a photo of a “clean” cup that my coffee was served in.
Breakfast was also disappointing. The omelette was undercooked, there were very limited fresh vegetables without sauces, and the bread did not taste fresh.
These cleanliness issues, along with the outdated and poorly maintained furniture, made our stay very unpleasant. Based on previous reviews, we had very different expectations. It’s hard to say whether our standards differ or we were simply unlucky, but unfortunately, this was not the right place for us.

The location was good very central the young ladies behind the reception were very helpful, friendly took time to help us when we needed it.

Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to store our luggage for a night while we went to Ha Long Bay, and the staff were very accommodating in assisting us with our request. Sarah, Bella, and Dinh, in particular, were super helpful.

Pros:

Just finished a 3 night stay at La Passion Hotel and Spa. We had the Executive Suite with balcony and the room was very clean, comfortable and the air-con was perfect.
Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Staff are very kind and helped us to book our transfer to Halong Bay.
Many thanks to all the staff especially Sarah, Thao and Kevin who helped us during our stay.

Exceptional service, warm hospitality, and a perfect stay in the heart of Hanoi.
Pros:

We had such an incredible stay at La Passion Hotel & Spa, and a huge part of that was thanks to the amazing staff — Sarah, Thao, and Kevin.

They were honestly some of the kindest and most helpful people we’ve come across in all our travels. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home. They were always ready with great local recommendations and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of.

The hotel itself was also great — our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. The buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise too, definitely better than many other hotels we’ve stayed at in Hanoi. The location is also perfect, right in the heart of everything.

Overall, a superb experience with truly top-notch hospitality. We’ll definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and will be coming back every time we’re in Hanoi.

Comfortable stay and friendly staff.
Pros:

The staff are very friendly; Bella gave us many suggestions on places to go to. The rest of the team, Sarah, Son, Thao, and Tom were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient and close to many cafes and restaurants.

Cons:

The window blind doesn’t block the light completely.
