Toplocatie na beklimming Kilimanjaro voor ontspanning. Supervriendelijk personeel.

Prima locatie om te ontspannen na beklimming van de Kilimanjaro.
Erg vriendelijk personeel.

Heerlijke rustige brandschone accommodatie met gastvrij personeel
Pros:

Geweldig hotel , hier kom je tot rust na alle indrukken die je in Tanzania krijgt, o.a. lange ritten en rijden in de parken, heerlijk verblijf hier. En … de kok is geweldig hij kookt alles maar dan ook alles vers.
Personeel in het hotel regelt van alles voor je, taxi, dagtripjes en Moshi , echt heel betrouwbaar.

Pros:

Super comfortable, large rooms. The staff were amazing and super helpful. Food was great. Everything about the stay we loved. We felt at home, so much so we stayed again after the mountain. The pool is a great way to relax post Killmanjaro

Unfortunate Experience – Not Recommended
Cons:

I booked this hotel for my guest on October 29, 2025, which happened to be Election Day in Tanzania. During that time, the government temporarily shut down internet access, making it impossible for my guest to pay the final balance on time. Unfortunately, the hotel took advantage of the situation and sold my guest’s booking to another company.

This was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience — something I have never encountered before. I do not recommend this hotel, especially for those relying on them for both accommodation and tour organization. Tour consultants should be aware of this lodge’s unethical behavior.

Lovely staff
Pros:

The staff were really great and attentive, the restaurant is actually very good and good value for money.

The hotel manager was really helpful with local knowledge, helping us sort onward travel arrangements and laundry.

Cons:

The swimming pool could have an upgrade to make the resort even nicer.

Perfekter Aufenthalt
Pros:

Sehr gepflegte, charmante Anlage, recht grosse Zimmer. Tolle Pool- Anlage. Alles sehr sauber! Das Essen war auch lecker. Agnes und ihr Team sind super, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We had a lovely stay at the Karanga River Lodge: highly recommended.
Pros:

The location was good in relation to visiting other places. The lay-out of rooms, restaurant and pool was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and friendly: they went over and above to see to it that we had a lovely time.

Cons:

The shower in the bathroom was not working properly, so we had cold showers most days. The bright white ceiling light in the room felt uncomfortable on the eyes, particularly when trying to read.

Pros:

Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse du personnel et leurs sourires, la piscine et les transats très agréables pour se reposer, la calme (mis à part le coq qui chante à partir de 5h du matin)
La nourriture est bonne et pas très chère

Cons:

La propriété de la piscine était moyenne
Nous avons bcp attendu pour notre dîner mais le repas est fait à la commande donc il faut être patient

Small Cozy Place with friendly staff

Very friendly & helpful staff
Small and cozy in a less busy side of the city
Swimming pool to cool from the heat
Open restaurant area with some greenery
Breakfast was the right portion & good variety
Otto the resident dog was so friendly

Cons:

My room was right next to the gate, and reception area and generator room, so exposed to so much noise
Room was a little bland
The single bed was too small
