It was really noisy we even got provided with ear plugs on the bed they was partying til 5am then workmen started at 8am drilling inside the hotel !!
This place is a hell hole and should be shut down. By no stretch of the imagination is it suitable as a hotel and that have the sheer audacity to market it as one, and that booking let them, is a disgrace.
Firstly, there is no reception. There is no accountability, there is no way to address any issues during your stay beyond visiting the bar downstairs and harassing a bartender.
This hotel says it's above a busy bar. That I could deal with. Some chatter, some background music, presumably over by about 11.
What this is is an utterly unmanned, dirty, un-soundproofed hovel above a nightclub, where the music will pound the walls, the furniture and the bed you are trying to sleep in until as late as 4am, EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
I have screenshots of my phone measuring the decibel level at over 100. Let that sink in. According to Google: '100 decibels is equivalent to the noise produced by heavy machinery, a jackhammer, a chainsaw, a snowmobile, or a loud nightclub/concert.' Things were bouncing off the shelf above my head. ON A MONDAY.
By no measure is this a place you want to PAY to sleep in. Added to that, the lighting dimmed almost to the point of non-existence in an effort to mask how grotty this place is top to bottom isn't fooling anybody.
Booking.com have refused to sanction them, and think that a £20 voucher by some measure makes amends for what is daylight robbery by shameless thieves masquerading as a hotel.
I will never be using this site again, and I've reported this slum to the local council. Good luck convincing them you're fit to operate, scumbags.
Very clean and in a great location
Modern, very clean and really comfortable bed
The room (Priscilla) was beautiful. Very modern, clean and comfortable. It would benefit from a kettle in the room but there is a boiler on the landing.
When the welcome pack includes ear defenders you get a little worried. The noise was just ridiculous! It felt like the bed was directly above a speaker and not only was unbelievably loud but the headboard vibrated in tune with bass. There was absolutely no chance of sleep, and we tried. Eventually, we packed up and got an Uber home. £100 wasted and night away ruined. AVOID!
The decor.
Upon arrival we had to get the keys from the bartender in the pub next door who was short / blunt and not very welcoming. The room was dirty. The windows looked like they have never been cleaned. Unsure why this has never been done because they are easily accessible to clean. This was an upgraded room too. Very disappointing. Clothes tags left on the side. Chewing gum above the bed. Chewing gum in random places. Carpet looked like someone just gave it a quick hoover. Very noticeable areas that was not cleaned. Music from the pub next door was overly loud. On a positive note the decor itself was nice. Plenty of towels.
Location and price
2things the heater wasn’t working and couldn’t get television to come on
Great location a 5 min walk from everything
There was no reception staff that we could talk to, we stayed there for 3 nights and we didn’t even get any new towels until the 3rd day despite asking for some. It was dirty, there was dirt in the shower and in the bathroom, there was still rubbish in the room from the previous guests. There was only 1 small window on the opposite side of the room to the shower so when the shower was on for more than 5 mins then the whole room would fill up with steam and everything would be condensated in the room including our stuff and the toilet paper because the bathroom door didn’t close.
Location is incredible, close to the LGBT district. Staff were lovely, room had ambience from the decor and lighting choices.
There was noise but I was aware of this so its fine.
Great shower, and the room was very good
Room was good, but I see why there were earplugs provided! Very Loud evening as there are 2 late license clubs near by.
