Okay. Would return but would opt to stay in other accommodation on the site.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Having th golf buggy and access to the zoo was brilliant and why we chose to stay here.

Cons:

We stayed in a twin room which was clean and nicely presented. However, we had only a couple of hours sleep as the room was VERY noisy with the constant sound of loud running water. I don’t know where this noise was coming from but it was exceptionally loud. My daughter had to sleep in her headphones and I only had 2 hours sleep which ruined the next day as we was exhausted and cut our day short to get home to bed! There is no one in reception after 5:30 to complain to. I did tell the receptionist about this on check out but got little response.

Great experience with the animals, less so at hotel
Pros:

The hotel is v comfortable

Cons:

The fact that they had two weddings during our stay meant the staff, particularly in the bar, were stressed and unable to cope. However, the staff at dinner, breakfast and lunch in the garden room restaurant were excellent as was the food

Absolutely fantastic & looking forward to our next visit.
Pros:

Everything but especially the freedom to roam around outside of 'normal' hours & the wonderful staff. HIM

The gorillas & the staff. HER

Cons:

Nothing apart from the speeding ticket for being 2mph over the limit on the M25 coming home. HIM

The bar at the hotel closing early without warning! HER

We enjoyed everything about the stay.

Few hiccups, but the staff and management deal with the issues in a delightful manner
Pros:

Exceptional location and hotel very beautifully decorated. The surrounding area it’s breathtaking and the walks around the animal’s enclosures quiet easy to navigate.

Cons:

Restaurants, cafes are located quite apart from each other and without a buggy it’s hard to get from one location to another.

Fantastic weekend away set in gorgeous grounds
Pros:

Gorgeous hotel bursting with character. The location was great for staying over as it is pretty central to the whole park and restaurants, also directly opposite concierge which is handy.
As it is one of the more affordable ways to stay at the park I was dubious but it still felt luxurious and we got to experience all of the same add ons , like the golf buggy , as the other lodges/ huts etc. highly recommend , will definitely be back !

Cons:

nothing huge to note, the bathroom was dated but it was in keeping of the house/ period.

Magic stay
Pros:

The room and the location in the park are excellent. Staff very helpful. The hotel is very elegant. Having a golf buggy provided to use in the park was very useful.

Cons:

No temperature control in the room, it did get too hot, but it is a lovely old building so maybe it has to be like this. The on site restaurant was temporarily closed so it had to be a buggy ride for breakfast and dinner but this was fun. It will be open again by the time you read this.

Superb in every way, great family experience
Pros:

Great character and space, it was warm, but you have a fan. The grounds are superb, the buggy is such fun, plenty to explore and good food. Perfect family trip.

Cons:

Bed mattress could have been better, but that’s it.

Animal park with unique atmosphere
Pros:

Breakfast was very good and served to table - but would be nice to have also self service. Atmosphere is unique. Got golf-buggy to our usage - it was great way to visit animal park. Was great to see animals and most of them had big enclosures.

Cons:

Services after leaving the room could be better. For example golf-buggy useage. Transportation from Port Lympne to Howletts thru Hotell would be nice.
