Great stay
Pros:

Really recommend this stay.
Linda (the manager) is so lovely and helpful and speaks great English!
The rooms are lovely and clean and you get about 15 mins of hot water per shower which is good.
Little breakfast buffet is good. They offer toast, pancakes, egg fried rice, fruit etc.

Cons:

Not hotels fault but music started playing outside our room at 7am every morning which woke us up. (This is probably due to tet holiday).
Also up a bit of a hill which was ok for us but something to be aware of.

Good location, great price, friendly front desk, but avoid the breakfast.
Pros:

The location is close enough to the town, but offset enough to enjoy an elevated view. The rooftop area is particularly nice for relaxing. The staff are completely fluent in English and can help you make arrangements for your outings. The price was excellent.

Cons:

The breakfast needs to be improved, especially for vegetarians or vegans, but also for health reasons. I saw one member of the staff return a (presumed to be uneaten) piece of passion fruit from my wife's plate to the common buffet. Yuck. Also, it was pretty clear that some of the offerings had been there on a prior day and had just been reheated.

Everything was fine
Pros:

The receptionist was calm attentive and kind. You can book escursions at the desk with fair prices! We extended our stay. Good breakfast intercontinental with cold and warm dishes, salty and sweet. Very clean. Good location close to shops and restaurants. No worries for the bathroom glass. There is a curtain for privacy.

La habitación con vistas al mar en realidad no tiene vistas al mar. Solo en un corner de la ventana siente asomas tras los edificios se ve el mar. No merece la pena el cargo extra

The room was very clean.
Pros:

The bathroom/shower was extremely spacious and clean, and to me this was the biggest win, especially having come from some cramped hostels. Breakfast was decent and the staff was very friendly. I changed my booking to be a day shorter and they happily reimbursed me. I though the location was the second best thing, because it was on top of the hill, so away from the noise of the downtown. It was also close to Yummy and Yummy2, the two better restaurants in the area.

Great location!
Pros:

The property facilities are kept in good condition and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk is helpful and they can provide you with information for tours around Cat Ba island. They had a fast laundry service which was very helpful as we had a very short time on the island. You have access to all of the town and good restaurants nearby.

Our view was so nice from our window and the beds were really large!
Pros:

Location was good you can walk from where the bus drops you off and to Ben bao harbour (around 10 mins). The staff were also really friendly and were so helpful booking tours/taxis for us.

Pros:

I stayed here for three nights. The hotel manager, Linda, was very warm and helpful, assisting me in checking on transportation during the typhoon. The room was spacious and the price was very reasonable.
