Relaxing place to stay with very good food.
Wonderful staff who were only too happy to help me with all of my needs. Delicious food and a beautiful calm location. Perfect for a restful relaxing stay.
Eine Oase außerhalb von Kochi, gutes ayurvedisches Essen, ruhiges Zimmer, angenehme Ölmassagen, spannende Kanutour auf dem Fluss, sehr schönes Pool. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.
The room was large and clean and the natural cosmetics in the room - body lotion, shampoo, shower gel etc, were absolutely lovely. The pool was also lovely.
The food was very fresh, however for the price of the room I would hope for a more varied menu.
The resort is spotlessly clean, comfortable has huge rooms and the staff is wonderful. The pool was also lovely in the evening after the hot, humid days. There is personal attention from the owners who are very friendly and caring.
As the resort is situated on a river there were some mosquitoes in the evenings
Great hosts, good vegetarian food and picturesque location adjacent a river. Great ambience for relaxation and to unwind from routine monotonous hectic schedules.
They have few nice swings, a swimming pool, but just wish there was a little more for children to do. They do have a provision for a kids play area with a seesaw currently, but it’s not actively maintained. There’s potentially an opportunity to renovate that and build on that.
Wonderful resort with such lovely staff! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a little slice of paradise in Kerala.
Clean bathroom
Bigger room.
Quiet neighborhood
Peaceful and clean facilities and outdoor space.
Yoga room.
Family own
Great host by owner
Great Ayurvedic treatment
Can’t think of
The hosts make you feel welcome and part of the family. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean and the air-conditioning and fans were all effective in keeping the rooms comfortable.
The property is situated on the canal and the gardens contain fruits and nuts which the chefs make use of in their kitchen. All the meals we ate were fresh, delicious and reflective of the dietary needs of our group.
Guests can also book an Ayurvedic massage.
The hosts also own a business that manufactures natural cosmetics and food products.
One of my best experiences in 50 years of travel. If only we could have stayed longer. Thank you Vijay and Vijaya for your hospitality.
Very guest oriented place. We felt in the center of the staff universe. Nicely located next to the river where you could do kayaking. Nice very clean swimming pool. Good pure veg food and always freshly cooked. Three meals if you want, otherwise two and afternoons tea. We had joga classes with the owner.
Room spacious and clean. Good Ayurveda therapists with various treatments.
We felt like rather like being hosted by family then hotel.
None
Nothing
I would not classify this as a resort as 4 star, but a 1-2 star hotel with a very basic swimming pool. They have added "ayurvedic" to their name to justify it being 4 star hotel. The hotel does not mention they are vegetarian with set menu and meal times. They do not allow alcohol on the premises. The menu is not readily available and changes daily with no communication of what is being served.
Staff were unfriendly and lazy when we arrived after 9 pm despite informing them several times. The hotel is very much closed after dinner being served until 8:30 pm. There are no evening activities, areas to sit, let alone a TV or radio in the rooms for entertainment. Also WiFi is very limited and very poor signal.
The ayurvedic massage was a very uncomfortable experience. Firstly, there were 2 masseuse, and did not explain much of what was happening. They is no upper body privacy. Both masseuse were discussing my body in their language, and also talking while I was trying to relax. This made me feel very uncomfortable, body conscious and was not a relaxing experience. They did not massage me, almost dripped me in oil and rubbed it in. They finished my massage very early, almost half the time of what was requested. When I complained, they simply said there was misunderstanding on which massage I wanted. It was clearly stated that all 3 members of my party were having the same massage. I was extremely disappointed with how the massage carried out and the masseuse talking loudly and laughing the entire duration. The room was very basic and completely outdated. No privacy when changing in and out of the robe to dispose single thin stringy pants.
The hotel is very antiquated and outdated. The rooms are very basic, with minimal bedding and thin mattresses. The room was full of lizards. The products provided are ayurveda and were good, but were not replenished.
Overall, I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel but a one star hotel with staff very unfriendly. Think twice
The room was pleasant and comfortable.
The food and the tired state of the garden and garden furniture was disappointing
Location. Ambience
Disappointed there weren’t other guests.
Lack of choice re vegan requirements. Meals provided but had to be paid for in addition to upfront costs.
Location and newness of the bedrooms & spa facility. Lovely gardens & pool. It was very quiet too. great to meet the owners who were approachable. I enjoyed the canoeing
I signed up to stay via booking.com and would have welcomed more information on Ayurvedic options whilst staying with a pricelist etc.
Nice location on the river and it included dinner
looks rather tired compared to website, room did not have a fridge or safe
The owners of the property were lovely and very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Every other staff member was great too, very attentive and nothing too much trouble
MOSQUITOS!!!!!
The facilities and above all the owners and staff
Mosquitoes in evening! bring spray.
