Un gros problème technique
Pros:

En plein coeur de Fort Kochi.
Le personnel très aimable.

Cons:

L'eau coupait tout le temps.
En 2 jours, j'ai du demander 6 fois qu'on me remette l'eau dans la salle de bain. Ça mettait 15min à revenir.
Je suis restée plusieurs fois bloquée sans eau sur le trône sans pouvoir me nettoyer correctement avec le bidet, ou même tout simplement sans eau au milieu de ma douche... HORRIBLE.
Le personnel m'a indiqué qu'il avait un problème avec le compteur extérieur, mais j'ai plutôt l'impression que le manager coupait l'eau pour éviter les dépenses, car il y avait toujours de l'eau aux heures de pointes, mais pas aux heures de sorties classiqus... Je ne saurais jamais.

Good, but expected more!
Pros:

The location was great. Located in the heart of fort kochi. Rooms were decent facing the pool but the noise outside was disturbing most of the time. The staff were very welcoming and even gave us a souvenir.

Cons:

1. Theres a lot of surrounding noise from the swimming pool during the day and other noise during the night (dont know if this is regular)
2. The pillows are extremely uncomfortable and the replacement pillow was the same. It shouldn’t be hard to keep a set of nice soft comfortable pillows.
3. The room had to be locked with a key from the inside each time and there was no other safety locks.
4. The restaurant is a part of the property, but they dont really have many items and the ones we ordered didn’t seem fresh. They seemed like they were cooked immediately after taken out of the fridge.


Overall for what we paid, but for a hotel that calls itself 4 star, I think better can be expected.

The property overall is great. The location is prime. You can do much better with basic improvements.

Pros:

On 2 Oct 2025, I paid a deposit of INR 51,183.09 to Velvet Hotels via international money transfer.

On 5/10/2025, our bookings were confirmed by your reservations manager Sumesh S Nair.

In early November, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and advised by the surgeon to cancel my upcoming trip.

On 12/11/2025, I advised Sumesh S Nair of this, cancelled our bookings, and requested a refund.

On 13/11/2025, I forwarded the free of charge cancellation confirmation from Booking.com, as requested by Sumesh S Nair.

On 9/12/2025, I was told Sumesh S Nair that the amount would definitely be refunded.

After numerous requests, the amount has still not been refunded.

We had an excellent couple of days at Napier heritage hotel, it’sa vintage building with all modern amenities. The check in was smooth and staff were helpful throughout the stay.
Special thanks to Akshay in helping us through out the stay with requests and questions.
