To reach the hotel, from Cologne Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) exit the station via passage A, towards Breslauer Platz. The hotel is located on the opposite side of the square, beside the roundabout.

Das das Hotel so nah am Dom und Musical war

Cons:

Das Bad, wenn man duschen wollte, also nur in die Duschkabine rein wollte, musste man die Badtür aufmachen.
Zähneputzen über den kleinen Waschbecken, also ausspucken ging auch nur mit kompletten Hintern an der Duschtür.

Good location but expensive for what it is.
Pros:

Breakfast was standard continental. Location is very close to Cologne train station and it's easy to find. Staff were friendly.

Cons:

Decor of hotel is old, dated, and quite stark and unwelcoming. Tiny lift that can only be used by one person. It was a hot night and there is no air con, curtains had not been drawn to keep the heat out and it was boiling. Fans were provided but to little avail.
There was a balcony which could be nice, however there were no chairs to sit on , it was surrounded by ugly concrete blocks and an unemptied ashtray. Not sure how clean it was either.

Cons:

Es war hauptsächlich alles in Ordnung und gut soweit, jedoch hat unsere Badewanne nicht so funktioniert, wie erhofft. Es sah aus wie ein Jazzuzi, hat aber nicht funktioniert. Wir haben uns auch nicht am Rezeption gemeldet, deshalb waren wir vielleicht selber Schuld.

Great place near the train station and cathedral with friendly, helpful staff
Pros:

The gentleman who checked us in had a great sense of humor and spoke English fluently, which helped us feel at home. He gave us a city map and helpful recommendations.

Cons:

Our room door didn't fully lock.
