Nice staff and restaurant food was lovely. Catered for allergies.
Nothing to dislike.
Good location on route to Scotland.
Restaurant area for travelling with dogs.
Welcome treats in the room for dogs.
Dog treats and towels in the foyer of the hotel.
Dinner service was good and food was good in the evening.
£13 per dog per night cost. If you have extra cleaning it makes no difference if you have one or two dogs in the room. Just being opportunistic to make more profit
The pedestrian gate to avoid the cattle grid to get to the shop would not open properly and anyone with a mobility aid would have struggled greatly. You had to slide through sideways!
Bar was expensive.
The reserved table in the dog area was not set up prior to our booked arrival time for breakfast and the teenage lad took ages to sort it out.
Breakfast run by a bunch of teenagers who couldn’t figure out the tea and coffee after they had asked us what we would like. Said teenager actually went to the table and asked my partner re drinks, then chased me around the buffet table to ask me and still forgot and got it wrong. Cold toast arrived with the delayed drinks rather than after the hot food choices were confirmed with staff. Took at least 3 reminders to get our drinks.
Easily accessible from the motorway
Clean staff pleasant with a nice open fire , car parking was adequate
Great overnight stop on our journey between London and Belfast. Conveniently situated at the motorway services and super dog friendly! My dog was even exited when we arrived at Tebay. He got a dog friendly sausage for breakfast, no wonder he likes it
Nothing to dislike for us
Aaron was the most friendly and helpful server at breakfast. His manner and ability to ask for feedback was so wonderful to experience.
Check in was so smooth as was check out- with the polish of experienced staff members who were so willing to do everything they could to make your stay and experience comfortable.
