I had a beautiful and memorable stay at Tea Queens Bungalow for one night. The bungalow itself is wonderful, with rooms that are extremely comfortable, spacious, and impeccably clean. The surroundings are stunning—nestled amidst lush green tea plantations and serene nature, offering a peaceful and refreshing environment.
The food was excellent—freshly prepared, delicious, and full of local flavours.Every meal added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay.
It was a truly relaxing experience, ideal for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature. I highly recommend Tea Queens Bungalow for a calm and comfortable stay. A perfect getaway for nature lovers!
Its a great place to spend a few days, soaking in the tea estate vibe of central Sri Lanka. Shri and the team were great hosts and went beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable. The food was delicious and the rooms comfortable. Will return and recommend to friends and family.
Fantastiskt hus mitt i teplantage vackra kullar
Staff gentilissimo e premuroso. Colazione buona e abbondante.
Queens Bungalow Hatton
We had a wonderful stay at Queens Bungalow in Hatton! The location is perfect—right in the middle of a lush tea plantation, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even arranging an amazing E-biking experience for us. You can also enjoy kayaking nearby. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the WiFi worked perfectly. The food was authentic and delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Hatton!
Everything perfect I visited last year as well now they’re upgrading many things
Right in the heart of the tea country.
Interior design was simple.
The staff running the place were really warm and tried their best. The food was great and we could tell it was made with alot of care.
Unfortunately despite the staff’s best effort, our stay was less than comfortable as the rooms smelt musty, there was a leak in one of the bathrooms and water had to be collected in a bucket and emptied from time to time. There was mould on the curtain in one of the bathrooms. The showers are in the middle of the bathroom which means it’s wet after use for most of the day. The towels and other linen were tired. The property is lovely and with a bit of care it can be wonderful.
Location, surroundings and an excellent team (food, service, etc)
It was a nice place with nice food and people, and also the only place on the trail where I saw other hikers for Pekoe. It's a good location for the trail and there were lots of options for dinner and breakfast.
I really wish they had mosquito nets in the rooms - it was amazingly comfortable but that wasn't great.
Beautiful colonial house, amazing garden, Sri and his crew was kind and helpful. Delicious food (but always the same served for dinner and breakfast)
Not clean. We arrived on the rainy day and from the ceiling water was dropping. Plenty of bugs. (Bedbugs, cockroach and others)
The room was very nice and a great size. The food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. The best bit for us was the tea plantation tour. The guide was so knowledgeable, it was worth every penny. There’s no alcohol here so if you do like a beer you will need to buy your own and he will happily put it on the fridge for you
The bungalow is set in the most beautiful surroundings it would have been nice sit outside but the seating was very limited
Staff incredible
Tea tour on offer amazing
E bike tour well worth it
Bathrooms a little dated
Breakfast good as was supper .
Bathroom completely flooded after short shower, no WIFI at all ( they said there had been a storm recently) no knowledge of local area I think that’s because they weren’t from the area but had been shipped in to run the bungalow.
Asked for a beer at dinner and one of the lads drove down into Hatton 20 minutes away to buy it , that was a bit random
The location although not easy to find was stunning
The curtains in the bathroom were mouldy and the shower flooded the whole bathroom, some damp and smelt a little mouldy
Firstly, the location in the middle of tea plantations is great. The hotel has a few walking trails nearby and you can take a Tuk Tuk to the beginning of a trail and walk back to the hotel. The views walking on Pekoe trail 8 are amazing with Adam's Peak in the distance when you are at the highest point if the trail. Secondly the staff are amazing. The meals at the hotel were so delicious, there is no need to eat anywhere else. If you want a base to explore the tea country and Adam's Peak this is a great choice. The hotel manager Murali looked after our every need from organizing Tuk Tuk or taxi to rescuing us from a trail when we could not get back before nightfall.
