Amazing staff, amazing history, clean and comfortable

Amazing staff and lodging was full of history to explore.

The fire wood was a little damp but once the fire got going there was no issues

Cons:

Getting fire in room to light. Vents damaged? We have same type in our house and work fine but our vents move.

Pros:

Its our 3rd stay in 1 and a half years at this heritage country hotel. We love the history of the place and the amazing garden and grounds. We like lighting a fire in the room and the food is good. Anne at reception is wonderful and so is Sindy at breakfast. The lounge area to just sit and relax is great.

Cons:

There was nothing we couldn't overlook with this being a heritage hotel.

Cons:

bathroom plumbing is not ok. When opening a tap, it sounds like to entire system is going to explode.
Although clean, the hotel could do with a face lift.
