Every staff member I encountered was polite and helpful. Morning breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant featured very fresh (probably local) seafood and produce. The beer selection, though limited, covered most of the usually expected variety.
I stayed for a full week and thought that the morning breakfast was monotonous. Food was good and covered most of the usual options but appeared to be exactly the same thing every day. Niko's dinner menu is largely limited to seafood. I've travelled with a number of friends who don't particularly care for seafood. When I first visited Niko over 10 years ago, the restaurant offered several traditional Italian entrees, in addition to seafood. I thought that the current version of their menu (my 3d visit), was pretty much limited to seafood lovers. If I had been visiting with my usual travelling companion, who eats no seafood, we probably would have had dinner at the hotel only once and then looked elsewhere for other meals. I understand that Niko is a seafood restaurant, but it would be better for business to offer a few well prepared non seafood alternatives. Yes, Niko does have a few on the menu, but they come across as an afterthought, not as a meal option as good as seafood choices. Just a thought. I'd personally stay again and again.
