Having the ability to do both outside activities, such as horseback riding, the nature center and swimming. We also enjoyed swimming/spa, arcade and table games, puzzles, the courtyard and ice cream!
The historic room although quaint and accommodating, it retained the old building odor that creating a sleeping issue for family members.
Nothing it is runner bad !!! I should get a discount because They did not give us a room till 530 pm we were there at 345 pm two kids and a dog very stressful they have double charged me for my dog I call before hand they said it was $25 a night they charged me $50 two times on my bill the place is very dis functional
I enjoyed all the amenities
The rooms are so clean. Great place to stay. swimming in the lake swimming in the inn. all around family fun.
Not much food around. restaurant there but no à la cart. You have to eat what they serve that day and they are not always open.
No room service during our stay. Cleanliness lacking. Need better food options.
The park itself
We paid for cabin but no cabin due to power outage.no compensation for that. The buffet was bad...too much money for what they offered.
Lots to do!
Close to town
Not the best food in the restaurant, noisy .
Everything for the most part! Will return
It's outdated and could use a little help but for the price I wouldnt complain too much about it.
Views, setup and overall sense of feeling like a Disneyworld lodge
The decor was tired; the air-conditioning was very loud; the walls had lost sound insulation so we could hear a lot of external noise.
The blinds didn't work very well and the water from the tap was warm. But there was free ice. A fridge might have been useful.
Pool and beach
Long walk to rooms. Elevators down game room mostly not working. Buffet was awful!! Almost rude staff at cafe’ dirty floors throughout
The lake is nice. The parking is good. Some staff is nice.
Been coming here for 40 years and every year lately it is getting worse and worse. Hall ways weren't cleaned i dont think ever, garbage bags were left in hallways for long periods of time. A main elevator was broken 2 years in a row. The shower never stopped dripping. The toilet was loose. A brick sidewalk just outside a main beach entrance door was partially collapsed right outside the door causing a major trip and handicap hazard. That same door was very hard to open. Carpets are very old and worn, peeling up everywhere. The room carpet was gross to step on barefoot. The arcade room used to be the same games for years and they finally are changed, however they only take dollars, no more coins. There is no machine to get dollars from if you dont have any, you have to go all the way to front desk. A couple games didnt even work. There's a ping ping table but no balls. A few vending machines take cash, coins or a card which is nice, but a vending machine by the arcade wouldn't even take my dollar. Which is good because its $3 for a snickers. The entrance price to the park just keeps increasing and is now $15 just to get in, even if you have a reservation. Want a park map? Used to be free. Now its a buck. Everything just costs more and more and they give you less and less. The restaurant on property could be a gold mine, however it has been poorly run for YEARS. Lot of buffets, one night said the only dinner being served was tacos. The sand volleyball courts used to be nice, now the nets that keep the ball from going into the woods is torn and half the height it used to be. The nets are worn and torn. The court boundary ropes are all torn up and useless. There are sticks all over the sand edges which hurt like hell if you merely step out of bounds. The only reason we continue to go is for a 50 year long history of family reunions here but its time for a change..
It was clean.
I didn't stay because the bed was a full single and I had requested two beds for myself and my daughter. The room was very small and the wifi extremely slow. We moved to another hotel and did not receive a refund.
Beautiful setting, wonderful restaurant
The reception staff were very rude. We stay at least twice a year and usually the staff are very friendly.
Beautiful setting. Price was reasonable.
The property is rundown. The building and room had a musty smell.
