Room was amazing - beautiful view, fireplace, jacuzzi, balcony - perfect location for a long weekend! Dinner! A 9 course meal with such variety of tastes, textures, such a pleasure to compliment our stay! A bit pricey though.

1-They treated us as real guests ! They never ask for credit cards to block our money, or pay deposit, although , we had our dinner in the 3 stars Mechlin restaurant and the cost was over 600 €, no one asks us to sign anything, all was charged to the room, professional staff, they spot what you like and what you don’t, like our drinks on the breakfast for the next day, they pay attention for the details.
2- They granted us gifts, desserts, cakes, with a nice message left on the table informing us that there is a gift for us in the mini bar.
3- so friendly staff, we love everything from the moment we checked in, to the moment we check out, also a gift from the garden upon our check out.
Amazing hotel, last but not least the location was wonderful, our room was Mountain View, Definitely would come back again
I can’t think of anything.
Comfortable. Small fruit tarts provided each day as treats.
Even though we booked months before,we were given a bad room in the attic with skylights instead of windows, an internal spiral stair and a huge spa bath taking up most of the space. The secondroom was better but still had the huge circular spa in it that we had to walk around. Previous guests personal things had not been left and not
found by the cleaners. It was good but not great. Tram to town was easy. The restaurant was amazing.
Food is exceptional, but I would not say it is appropriate for young families.
The room was really beautiful
I asked probably 4 times about dinner at the hotel, which we booked when someone called asking if we would like a table. No one ever showed me a menu or discussed the process of dinner. It was not appropriate for children: 9 course menu over 4 hours! I asked and asked and everyone said it was absolutely fine for children.i do not feel I was given any information relevant to dining in the restaurant and would have cancelled our table had I known. Frustrating. Hugely expensive as our kids - no surprise- didn't eat their food. BUT wonderful food and service and perfect for adults 👌
Lovely staff
No cancellations policy
Due to the one way system, you are directed to the car park before you realise that there is a place to pull in in front of the hotel and unload. As such, we drove down the steep slope to the small car park and parked the car ourselves. Once inside we were greeted very nicely by the front desk and shown to our room. What a room! It was such a great space, we could see the car and the pool and beyond lovely views, it also had a small terrace which would have been lovely if warmer.
There is a delightful downstairs terrace to have a drink before your meal and we were lucky with the weather.
The dinner was excellent and we had the tasting menu and went all in, it was great. I think with these things, when there are so many courses, there are bound to be some you don’t like as much as the other. Salmon with snail on top… I like both individually but it didn’t work together to my taste.
The breakfast was the best, really loved the way it was presented and to be given a delicious cake inside a box on leaving was also a really nice touch. This is foodie heaven!
I am a hotel designer and I write this with the best intentions. The walk though shower, was a bit tricky and I often ended up walking though it like a corridor...as such that it felt like the shower was in a corridor! The TV would have been better above the fireplace, it was a little too far and too small. The wardrobe could be fitted out much better, the wallpaper detail on the doors for me lacked five star detailing. I filled the hot tub but couldn’t get it to work… I just had a bath!
The room and view were nice. Location is too.
No cocktails apart from their own "maison" one, no gluten free apéro options, no lactose free apéro options, staff was too young and couldn't come up with a solution for us. The bathtub in our room was leaking. Nothing was offered when I mentioned this during checkout. This hotel is definitely not worth its price. we couldn't believe it's a 5* one.
