Stayed here for half term skiing on our first Spanish ski holiday. From the moment we arrived we felt totally at home. It was a real family affair with Eva, her brother, sister and mother always around to help with a smile. The rooms were spotlessly clean with super comfortable beds and nothing was too much trouble. Fab breakfast in the morning - omelettes or eggs and bacon and great coffee. It was so nice to relax in front of the open fire at night with a drink. As the hotel doesn't do evening meals they were happy to help us with recommendations and help us to book as our Spanish was appalling! Quick tip - make sure you reserve restaurants in advance especially at weekends as they can get booked up. Quite honestly the best service we have ever received in a ski resort!
7 of us stayed in the Besiberri over the Feb half term week. We have skied several times in Baqueira but accommodation in the main resort area is not great, and options for eating out almost non existent. So this time we decided to stay in Arties, about 10 min drive down the mountain from the main lifts. It was a very good decision - the Besiberri is a small family run affair, but the hotel and rooms were spotless and beautifully comfortable, I don't think I have ever been in a hotel with better housekeeping. Immaculate is the word. Breakfasts were simple but very good (fruit, cereals, and an option of scrambled eggs with or without bacon every morning. Limited choice but always a great start to the day. The public sitting areas in the hotel were very comfortable and the bar very pleasant for aperitifs or nightcaps. Parking about 50 yards up the road was perfectly OK. Arties is a very pretty little village with a lovely old church and plenty of options for eating out - the best place was the Tapas bar in the main square (actually Pintxos, not Tapas). Always packed but hugely efficient staff always managed to find us a table, and extremely friendly and buzzy. There is a bus service between Arties and Baqueira every day, but the timings were not great (one an hour) so we drove up and down each day, a 10-min drive each way, no problems with free parking at both ends. We would highly recommend the Besiberri to anyone skiing in Baqueira and it's probably a lovely base for the area in summer as well. Everyone there was super friendly and we were very well looked after. The only thing is that it took a very long time to get our reservations all confirmed online, they are not superfast at responding to email enquiries or questions, but it all worked out just fine in the end. We would definitely return.
Had my girls staying there for a week. Could not be better !! Family owned & managed small hotel !! They are so kind & wonderful that you feel like home !! Carmela, Eva and Manolo make their stay pleasant and unforgettable. Totally recommended !!!!!!!
Excellent both customer service and location. Charming place in the heart of valley of Aran in the Pyrenees.
Staff always ready to assist customer warmly.
Good equipment and excellent condition of apartment. Balanced value/price.
Will recommend. It well worth another stay
We stayed at this lovely hotel for 10 days in Arties whilst on a skiing trip.
Greeted by a glowing log fire and a charming Spanish family we could not have felt more welcomed.
Our rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated.
The breakfasts were 1st class.
The staff keen to help advise on restaurants and any arrangements we required.
They even looked after my friends little dog on a couple of occasions when he couldn't join us.
Fantastic family run hotel with wonderful staff that could not do enough for us for our week's skiing holiday. We are a family of four so we had 2 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms which cost us about £650 .00 per room for the week including breakfast so £1300.00 very very good value....
Everyday the rooms were cleaned to perfection by the smiley staff who provided clean towels each day too.Nothing was too much trouble for all the cheerful team. Lovely log fires and cosy atmosphere
.Arties is full of great restaurants and we will return many more times. Thanks Besiberri....
