Great place and value.
Pros:

We were late to check in but the owner/attendant was more than accommodating. The staff were great and it is a very cool place with history and character. I would definitely stay again. The bar area was amazing and the free breakfast was a great bonus.

Cons:

My stay could have been longer.

Unfortunately I was allocated a room on the main road through town and only one floor up. The traffic seemed endless, even at 3 am there were still vehicles passing by.

Friendly, good value, good location and nice food.
Pros:

Great breakfast...cooked to order from the menu. Lovely staff- the manager was so friendly. Room was clean and had plenty of space for our family.

Excellent attentive staff, traditional clean rooms, great food.
Pros:

Attentiveness by staff excellent. Food (both breakfast and evening meal also excellent. Parking facilities very useful as high street parking rather busy.

Cons:

The only thing we could have done with was a lift as my elderly mother found the number of stairs a little too much.
In a building of its age, I appreciate this may not be possible and, should we return, we would try and book a room on a lower floor.

Warm and welcoming.
Pros:

Great location close to a number of local attractions. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The parking was easy to access and safe. The breakfast was great - full Irish with lots of options. They were also very accommodating for food allergies. We had dinner at the hotel as well and it was great. Highly recommend this property!

Cons:

Nothing could have been better. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel is centrally located and close to several pubs and bars, but there is also a great bar right in the hotel. This property excels at great customer service!

Would definitely stay again if l was that side of the country we had a very pleasant stay.
Pros:

Staff were very accommodating they looked after all our needs as we had a lady with a sore ankle who couldn't walk too far so they gave us a room on the first floor so she didn't have to go too far to her room.
Breakfast was lovely nothing was too much for the girl who served us.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Always smiling and greeting everyone who came.
Our rooms were clean and very comfortable beds in each of them.

Cons:

If l was to have something that l didn't like it would have been the coffee in the morning but that's being very picky but just something that could be changed easily.
No reflection on the staff just my personal opinion on the taste.

Excellent service, comfortable rooms, and wonderful staff & lovely food– we’ll definitely be back!
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at the Darnley Lodge Hotel. The receptionist was absolutely amazing and couldn’t have been more welcoming. She kindly let us check in early so we had plenty of time to get ready and make it to our concert, which we really appreciated. The manager/barman was also so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, beautifully presented, and the beds were so comfortable.

Cons:

Nothing at all – we couldn’t fault our stay.
