Pros:

A nice enough place for 5 blokes to stay at but needs some TLC. Staff wonderful. Great location for town with big car park but again grounds etc need tidying up.

Cons:

Just needs some love.

Ideal for what we wanted
Pros:

Breakfast was brilliant and the staff was very friendly. The bar man was friendly too and helpful with the local area

Cons:

The traffic noise in the room was bad, the window rattled and the door clunked every time people moved downstairs. The door locked played up too.

Not good value for the money
Pros:

Dinner the second night was good. The location was good

Cons:

Restaurant and bar was closed the evening we arrived. The carpets were stained and the bathroom smelled musty/mouldy. The property felt dark and dingy and in need of some TLC.

Not bad. Decent staff, nice and quiet, and good location.
Pros:

Didn't really interact with he staff, but they were friendly. Even helped us out with out slightly late arrival, and seemed very understanding due to the circumstance.
The facilities were sufficient, as one would expect from a hotel, exceot we had to fill the kettle from the shower because it was too big for the sink - very small sink, not a typical wash basin. That said, it was a nice kettle.

Cons:

There was a lot of dust that played with my partner's lungs, and the sheets had staining and were very itchy - that might've been the detergent.
The windows were old and 1 didn't close fully, and the other didn't even open.
There was only a tiny bar of handsoap that looked old and no body/hair wash (4 tiny bottles my hve been them, but I couldn't really see). Luckily, there's a shop or 2 not far away, but still. For the price, should be included.
Lastly, the bed was 2 single mattressed zipped together. There was a gap between them, and they'd evidently been used for many years with the way they bowed, so they were not comfortable unless you sleep in the middle of each mattress.

Pros:

Location. Free car parking. Nice bar with decent beer at a good price. Very nice bar meal on one night of my stay. Very chatty and helpful barman. Good shower and comfortable bed.

Cons:

Room was basic and could have been maintained better. Despite being there four nights my room was not ‘made up’ in the day between nights. Bed not made up. Towels not changed. Tea and coffee tray not replenished some days. Breakfast choice and presentation needs some serious attention given how much I paid £495 for 4 x nights.

It was a comfy bed for the night. Not a place to spend any awake time in
Pros:

Given early arrival info that let us into the building but then had to search the building and call the Mount for help. Bed was big and comfortable

Cons:

Surface clean but very tired decor. No bottled water, faulty hairdryer, leaking shower cubicle meant drenched bathroom floor. Old scruffy clothes rail for clothes.

Good Breakfast, Comfy Beds, Proper Yorkshire Staff
Pros:

The rooms were nice and spacious and comfortable, the TV was a little temperamental but otherwise ok. Breakfast was quickly cooked and tasty.

Cons:

The air vent in the bathroom was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time and the shower head really needed to be replaced. The shower gel/soap dispensers were hard to get soap out of, they really need to be positioned higher up. I'm not used to traffic noise and the hotel is sandwiched between 2 busy roads and so I was awoken very early due to the sound

None of the issues spoiled our stay at the Mount Hotel
Pros:

Perfect location, comfortable, Really good staff and lovely breakfast

Cons:

Parking was an initial issue. The room wardrobe doors wouldn’t open. The ensuite sink plug stuck and caused a blockage.
