The staff was nice
The location, the broken door, no curtains on the windows that was facing the stairs that allows every passer by to look into the room. In one drawer there were old rotten food items from at least a week ago.
It was described in booking as if the room had a balcony, which it didn't. The guy there told me the balcony is the one on the floor.
Misleading advertising.
Herşey bekledimiz gibiydi
Hosts went out of their way to make us welcome. They even cooked us dinner even after it was clear the kitchen was closed. We booked last minute late and they were so incredibly hospitable offering us coffee as soon as we arrived chatting with us despite our being unable to speak Bulgarian, they were very patient with the Google translate Charming house charming location. There are balconies in most of the rooms it seems and we regret that could only stay one night!
Closed when arrived so couldn't say
Booked it but was closed when I arrived so had to find other accommodation. No refund given
The hosts were very helpful. Any bad drain smells can be rectified by running a tap. They went over and above for me and I really liked the hotel views, facilities, air-conditioning and room. They even had the cinema chanel.
You really need a car to get to it. Or taxi.
The beds were comfy, there was enough place for parking and the outside garden was pleasant. Also the newly hired staff were very nice and friendly.
The toilet was broken and positively disgusting.
big room
cleanliness,
Facilities.
The room and especially bathroom was not cleaned properly. When we arrived there was nobody in the hotel and the contact person did not reply to several phone calls and returned a call late in the afternoon.
Hotel staff very helpful and kind, and room was very big with large balcony. Owner had no problem with smoking
Nothing...
Beds were clean and ok
Had a horrible experience here. The first room i booked had a really bad smell. My 2 friends booked a second bigger room which was fine. As they only booked one night and paid the same as i for the small room, the next day i asked if i could take over that room for my second night. As the owner (the dad) did not speak english or german i agreed this by phone with his son and asked if 1 of my 2 friends could share the room, this was ok. I appreciated the flexibility despite the initial impression. The next day comes, the owner does my checkout and apparently was not aware of the agreement and thought he was getting tricked. The language gap created a miscommunication despite me trying to calmly explain with google translate and trying to call his son. He screamed at me, when trying to use google translate he grabbed my phone from my hands and did not let me leave the building, threatening to punch me, pushing me and closing the door so he could get others to force us to pay more. Eventually we could go but he was very violent. Add to this that even in the second room the smell of the bathroom was very bad (i think simply a plumbing issue which i tried to flag to him as it also was present in the other room). What initially had seemed like an ok place for 30 euros a night ended in feeling threatened on top of the low quality. Between us 3 we paid 90€ for two rooms for the 2 nights. I never write bad reviews and am not very demanding - if it was just for the smell i would not have cared writing because it seemed a temporary issue and I don’t want to bring a local business down for no reason. This was absolutely unacceptable though. Furthermore the man kicked a puppy that had followed us inside and we were letting it back out, he kicked him really hard down the stairs as if the dog had anything to do with it. The whole situation could have been prevented if he would have communicated with his son or would have been patient enough to let me translate (or call his son).
