Cougar Ridge Resort

An amazing facility! A bit more costly than we had budgeted, but WELL WORTH it. A beautiful facility. Our two bedroom villa was outstanding!

My favorite part was the baby goats, but our room was perfect, very stylish. Loved the size of the refrigerator since we were road-tripping. The staff was very cheerful and helpful.

Cougar Ridge was incredible and unique. The instructions to find the ridge were quite long and a bit confusing at first, but after a couple of reads, we found it. The staff were really helpful and even gave us their phone number in case we ran into any issues, which was reassuring.

We opted for one of the bigger rooms, and it was absolutely stunning. Honestly, we would have loved to stay for 2-3 days had our itinerary allowed, but it was a perfect spot for a quick stop. The room was fully kitted out with everything you’d need for a self-catered stay. Both the living area and the bedroom were well-presented, clean, and comfortable.

The surroundings were lovely, and we enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony, overlooking the ranch and farm. The breakfast was generous, with a self-serve setup that was perfect for us. Everything was stocked up, and we even grabbed some snack bars to take with us for our walk through Capitol Reef that day.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for Capitol Reef, I highly recommend Cougar Ridge.

Beautiful location. Attentive staff. Rustic but very upscale facilities. Only 1 night so didn't use all of them. It's a ranch.

Room was extremely comfortable in ranch style with big wooden furniture. Great bathroom. Gym was incredibly well equipped plus pool and hot tub. Breakfast was self service but good choice.

The casita was an awesome accommodation, we loved sitting on the deck looking out at the ridge. The property is beautiful and has everything you'd want for a fun vacation including Thor, the largest longhorn you have ever seen. Breakfast was the best we had on our two week trip. The location is unbeatable if you are visiting the parks east and west. The highlight of our visit to Cougar Ridge was the great hospitality. CR is a hidden gem and we'd definitely return.

The villas are extremely well done. Absolute top craftmenship quality - thick stone counters, slate floors, heavy solid wood doors, Traeger grills, solid metal outdoor dining - the list is endless. And the setting is absolutely stunning - views over the local features and set in a working farm. So peaceful and relaxing.

Very high end luxury in a down to earth setting

This place is just amazing, not only the house but overall place. The staff is friendly, helpful, and communicative. This is a ranch with animals that kids (and adults) can visit and pet. Owners were so kind that they introduced us to baby goats, explained how to behave around them, and let us go into the fenced area. At the reception area, they have an engaging souvenir store and breakfast area where everyone can find something for themself (super happy for gluten-free options). Everywhere can be sensed amazing feeling for interior and landscape design - everything is done with perfection and attention to detail. We all loved the pool area - they have several saunas, a unique outdoor pool with (heated/cooled) resting pavilions, a jacuzzi, a grill with tables, and a fire pit area. It was made very thoughtful.
I wish we could have stayed longer.
