Nothing just a pleasant evening and good night sleep
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Late check out
Rooms were very hot
Excellent stay.
Only issue. There during heatwave and no a/c in the rooms. I was grateful to Georgia and excellent staff member who secured a ground-floor room for me. Made a significant difference to comfort.
The property was clean and the rooms were well appointed. It was exceptionally hot weather when we stayed, but we were provided with a fan which was great. The rooms were very quiet, even with the bedroom window open! The car park was small but we always managed to get a space. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner in the pub both days and the food was very good.
It over looks a common, which is nice. The bar was friendly and the food was ok, definitely better than a beef-eater meal I had recently. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Far too hot. The fan provided was really dusty so blew dust everywhere.
The bathroom looked clean at a glance but clearly had not had a thorough clean in a while. The rim of the toilet was filthy (not somewhere I normally look but as it was effectively next to the TV when the bathroom door was open, I accidentally caught a glance) as was the toilet seat hinge and the wall around the soap dispenser.
The pillows smelled musky so, as I have stage 4 cancer, I could not relax and did not sleep. We and checked out as soon as we could.
They did refund the cost of our second night. But as I hadn’t complained during the stay they obviously couldn’t refund the night we had stayed. Clearly they had unfortunately given us the grubby room and would have moved us to a clean room had I asked.
