Pros:

Super close from ishiuchi Maruyama hatsuka ishi. 5 min walk to the ski slope. Super good deal with hattori rental— 1900yen/day for renting ski boots and ski all together is unbeatable. Stuff are very friendly. They have cute cats that our kids love. Choose the food included option because food is good and also convenient

Pros:

Very cute place partly designed in the style of the Wizard of Oz fairy tale with kitty-cats amenities. It's close to nature, far from the city bustle. Inside its warm, cozy and made of wood. The owner is very kind and ready to help. E.g. she agreed to check me in 2 hours later, during the night. Also helped me with difficult logistics to my next destination.
There is a bus stop nearby. About 4km from Yuzawa city center and the road full of scenic spots.

Cons:

Place was a bit shabby.
The bus schedule is poor. Just a few buses during the day.
Not a straight con. The nature is around surroundings so there could be bugs. I didn't find one, but they have warnings with instructions inside and mosquito nets outside set up over the terraces and windows.
