Basic and comfortable
Decor is a bit patchy. Noisy guests.
Location was great just of the motorways . Family were walking distance and short ride to city centre . Breakfast was fantastic cooked very well , hot and staff were very pleasant.
Nothing as car park was excellent too
Location
Gave me a key to room, when I opened door it was already occupied, manager tried to sort but could not understand how I was given wrong room key. The room I had been assigned was also occupied. Finally gave me a family room very cramped, bed uncomfortable and bathroom blind covered in dead moths not to mention stained towels
Good location
We had booked a table for the evening . But still had to stand in a cue with people who hadn’t booked before being shown to our table
The bed was comfy...the evening carvery was stunning
The floors were squeaky....tramps and buggers outside hotel..hallways and corridors smelt old musky ..breakfast was horrendous.. staff un helpful
Nothing apart from the can of coke to pour in your own glass and lemon request wasn’t even manageable they were too busy The carvery dinner was standard some vegetables cold the meat was lovely beef was very fatty
Was told by receptionist on arrival if we sat in the restaurant we could have table service no one attended to us after the first waiter my husband had to Que at the bar and was told he needed to wait as the waiter was busy took 5-7 min during this time his food was getting cold we couldn’t finish dinner we had previously noted on booking it was a special stay after our marriage no effort or kindness at all
You could open the bedroom window slightly for air

I arrived at reception
I selected the link to check in before arrival to save waiting in the queue at reception. Followed by the message on the booking com app to me
I still queued
Waited 15 min to check in due to errors with Toby with an elderly couple
Receptionist told me the the reason my name was not on her paper check in list was because I checked in on my link sent
She was stressed out with two customers in front of me
She was polite to me
She kindly gave me instructions of what and where to go clearly for dinner and breakfast
She was welcoming when arrived for dinner
Never saw her again
In the room the latch was not working well The shower clip kept popping off had to hold shower head
Good bathroom that was the only plus but the floor needed corners cleaned
There was a dirty sock under the right front side of bed
There was no English tea only herbal and coffee on the tray
The curtains kept falling off the clips so left open
Hallway very stuffy and an awful
Stale smell on stairs carpet was not clean on stairs
Door in room was interconnecting which I did not ask or want when arrived
Next door was banging 3-4-5 am that woke us maybe due to sound from interconnected rooms
Hand wash
and body/shampoo
No body lotion or conditioner or soap
Dinner was table service at restaurant
Explained to me by receptionist

Walked past us twice and did not make my eye contact only to raise her voice and when I showed her my booking com...
The bed was comfortable, room was bright and spacious. The breakfast itself very tasty.
The attitude of the staff is stinking. Absolutely rude, both in restaurant and reception. The room is in desperate need of being deep cleaned, very dusty. The sink was clogged.
The breakfast was the worst I have ever tried to eat in this country. Eggs where like rubber, bacon was that dried up I could not cut it, sausages where dried up and the beans where like. Bullets. I had to leave it and get breakfast else where.
Free parking
Staff were incredibly rude on every interaction with them. I went to the front desk to ask a question at around 2:30pm, and without being asked what my enquiry was, I was shouted at that early check is was not available… I had already checked in the previous night.
Fire alarm set off twice, one at 11pm and once at around 8am. On the occasion at 11pm, I asked if they could look at resetting it after the sound ended 20 minutes beforehand, and was told it was a fault with the system and that if they reset it then it would possibly go off again during the night. The light it was presenting in the room was can only be described as a ‘strobe light’ and the staff wished for people to try and sleep through this instead of resetting. If the fire alarm system had a fault then they should not be allowing guests as this is a risk to safety of its occupants
I will never stay at this hotel again
Only good thing was the location was on
The room was tired, dated , shredded lining in curtains , uncomfortable beds.
Dirty carpets - generally shabby
