The style and design of the room Is nice. Also the rooftop was beatifull.

El hotel supera las expectativas. Habitaciones amplias, diseñadas siguiendo la temática de la biblioteca Joanina de la Universidad de Coimbra. Todo es confortable y amplio, bien acabado. A pesar de que las imágenes pueden llevar a la idea de que todo es un pastiche, realmente es de una calidad elevada, con auténticos libros grabados en mármol de diferentes tipos, suelos confortables. Atención al los mosaicos de la recepción, merecen ser admirados. Sin ser mi estilo en decoración, no puedo decir más que se merece un 10.

Een mooi hotel op een goede locatie. Vriendelijk personeel. De kamers zijn echt heel mooi en voorzien van alle gemakken en voelden echt heel fijn aan. Ook de persoonlijke welkomst boodschap op de kamer incl drankje en koekjes was voortreffelijk. Het was fijn om daar te zijn.

Bellissimo hotel dedicato alla biblioteca Ioannina. La stanza era grande affacciata sulla piazza con doccia e bagno separati. Letto grande e comodo. L"armadio è un po' piccolino. Ottima la colazione. Tutto il personale è gentile e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta.

Gostei de tudo em geral, da simpatia dos colaboradores, adorei a decoração, em geral o hotel é lindíssimo e muito confortável.
Os terraços e o rooftop mobilado de onde temos uma vista sobre o rio e a cidade.
E o peq almoço que tem um pouco de tudo

We just returned from a two night stay in Coimbra with CBR Boutique Hotel, and I truly loved this hotel. We stayed in room six which is on the second floor, our room overlooked the busy Largo da Portagem (the square) and the Mondrego River. We arrived a little before check in, so we were able to check our luggage with the staff and were encouraged to explore for a bit.

We were excited to check out our room, and found so many small comforts. We loved the local beers provided and cute little cookies with a welcome note. The room had a small fridge, coffee maker, built-in TV, closet, hair dryer, firm and soft pillows, and toiletries. WiFi and TV are available, which is also nice. Our view was beautiful, I highly recommend just watching the square come to life at various points through the day. We learned that in Portugal, you need to put your key in a holder by the door to use the electricity. (That was a new one for us haha). The library theme is so gorgeous, I just kept finding myself looking at the book titles around the room. The shower and toilet do have glass doors, but they do have privacy tints/designs. As a couple we had no issues with it, and it was truly gorgeous. My only feedback for travelers, were to understand that this location can/will be loud. It is right on the Main Street, so booking here means you know that! We enjoyed a festa (festival) across the bridge while we were staying, so it was pretty loud until midnight. Nothing a little white noise and jet lag on night one couldn't fix (and I am a person that needs it to be pretty quiet). The second night we roamed until that time, so it was not disruptive to us. The other thing we found was the bed was FIRM, but in comparing that to another hotel in the country, it was pretty much the same.

The common spaces are beautiful, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast (8am-11am) both mornings as well as their Tea hour (3:00pm-midnight) both days. There are small bistro tables to enjoy off the Breakfast/Tea room which are adorable and provide a beautiful view of the square and bridge. The rooftop is a lovely place to catch sunset, and enjoy a coffee.

The staff were helpful, friendly, and so accommodating. We asked for recommendations, asked a few questions, and worked to provide them documentation to get our tax exempt for medical appointments. They were all friendly and welcoming! We are traveling back in a few months, and will likely stay at this ADULTS ONLY small boutique hotel. We truly enjoyed it and highly recommend!
