Lovely cottage, stayed in Angler. Lovely and clean and plenty of amenities inside cottage. Lovely surrounding area. Food at Antler restaurant was really nice.
Could maybe do with more parking on a weekend?
The hotel and grounds are lovely , the staff are really nice overall everything you'd expect
Welcoming, clean & tidy . Quite
Nothing
LOVED the bar area - lovely decor against the original stone buildings. Rooms were lovely, too. I stayed in The Haven.
A little shame that the spa wasn't there, but this didn't affect us at all. Also a shame the hot tub in our room wasn't available either. The pool water was a bit cold!
The staff and the service we got was of a very high standard. Very attentive to our needs and requests, could not fault them
Unfortunately, I found the bed to be very uncomfortable for me. I left with pain in my hips and lower back, and was up for most of the night. We also checked out early the. next day.
Beautiful hotel been there a few times ,going back on valentine's day this year .
Nothing
The pool area was disgusting the hot tub had brown rings of muck around the inside, the pool water was murky. The changing room shower was freezing cold. The family room we had had no heating the thermostat was turned up to 30°c still stone cold. found a fan heater in wardrobe which we had to put on then had to switch it off has there was orange sparks coming from it. Bare in my I had my 6 year old autistic son with me. The bar staff are extremely rude, when asked for what room we were staying in had to sign the receipt we had the pen thrown at us, then they are too busy talking amongst each other behind the bar. My son had lost his teddy, baring in mind he’s autistic that teddy means more to him than anything else, my partner had gone back to the bar are to find it to no avail, he asked the night porter would he mind checking cctv, was told that it’s not important to him so no he won’t. This resulted in my partner having words with him. Eventually we found the teddy it had been kicked into a corner behind a door. 1 hour later we have a knock at the room door from the police, saying my partner had to leave. To which he did.Skip to 1am me and my son in bed trying to sleep knock at door from the night porter saying had reports of noise coming from the room, when I said we in bed trying to sleep but yes I’ve heard doors clattering but not from here he sharp changed his story to it’s from this area of corridor.
Think the staff need training in customer services this is meant to be a boutique hotel, I’ve had better service from a cheap nasty b&b in Blackpool and that’s saying something !! and the food was appalling that my son got. Would I go again CERTAINLY NOT !!
First class
Food can't be any better , have always been very pleased both breakfast and meals in prego restaurant are excellent 😋
The spa facilities will be a great asset when updated
Clean the rooms proper thick of dust
The food came out cold ! We changed our room 3 times first time was because the room I booked apparently you have got robes so I had to pay anther £60.00 to get robes and change rooms second room had no heating in was freezing and staff were not good ! The manager on the bar was very good but he finished at 5 pm but had to go to bar to order food as we were waiting for waitress for again got sick of waiting !!!!!
Hotel decor was fantastic staff were great in bar restaurant and spa .
The rooms didn't have any air conditioning, both me and my husband did not get much sleep ,the rooms were beautiful ,but definitely need some air conditioning.
There was not any internet in my room and some of the national TV channels were non existent ie BBC 1
I booked this as a wedding present for a couple, I was very disappointed and me and them were very embarrassed when they had to call me to check I had actually paid for their stay as the hotel said it hadn't been paid for
Excellent hotel and location for our wedding
