Beautiful place but resting on the laurels of a world renowned chef and the food and service is sub par
Pros:

The property is beautifully designed and the room was comfortable

Cons:

We were the only ones at the hotel and only one person was on site. There was moldy fruit in the room and they were doing a lot of work on the property. We had dinner at the restaurant which was insanely expensive for frozen French fries and the fish was inedible. They lock everything at night and leave the property.

Pros:

Room was nice. Staff was great. Enjoyed the food.

Cons:

Walls too thin. From our room we could hear the kitchen staff and kitchen prep through one wall. We could also hear our neighbor guests through the other wall.

The room had no luggage racks so we had to put our luggage on the floor.

Shower was broken as the rain head didn't turn off and the bath tub didn't have a stopper to take a soak.

No hair dryer in the room.

Great room and service. Overpriced food.
Pros:

Very friendly and super helpful staff. Great room and lovely pool.

Cons:

Food was hugely overpriced. A plate of Gnocchi with bits of bacon for instance was 55 USD, which is outrageous. And end November there there was no other place nearby where could have had dinner.

The staff went above and beyond and the food was AMAZING - it is such a special place

the room and property are wonderful

Cons:

for this range of price that classify as luxury, we would expect more from the staff. should speak English. shouldn’t fill paper work for checking in the middle of the restaurant. luggage should be bring to the room. should be able to order the breakfast you want and not beeing told it will take an hour because the chef did not prepare the dough. etc.. several little details that add up when you expect boutique 5 stars experience.
