Comfortable room, and good food
Normally the hot weather would not matter, but last week air conditioning would have been welcome.

Freshly cooked. You had to pre order the night before. No cereal, fruit or toast unless you paid extra and pre ordered night before.
Lovely room
We had paid through booking.com but when we arrived we were asked to pay again on check in. We are still struggling to get our money back for the double payment. Very frustrating/ lots of our time spent sending emails back and forth, providing evidence from bank statements etc. It’s been nearly 2 months since we stayed and we’re still waiting for the refund.
Limited food menu - nothing very low fat.

There was nothing to dislike
Great rooms, convenient location
They told us on check in that they ‘assumed’ we had paid for breakfast, which we weren’t sure. We were given a breakfast pre order menu without prices and then charged ludicrous prices - £15 per head - for a croissant, 3 weetabix (described as “a selection of cereals”, some cold toast and half a glass of watered down apple juice costing £4.50!

are a credit to the C&G, super helpful and welcoming given that I was as a late guest, which after a long day was so appreciated! Beautifully clean, handsomely decorated with all the comforts. Excellent and considerate attention to detail!
The food was very good. The atmosphere was great in the evening.
I couldn't see to dry my hair. The lead was too short on the hair dryer to see what I was doing.

We liked the place, it was very cosy, clean and quiet. Nice courtyard in front of the room, very peaceful. Room was njce. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
We were a little surprised to find that there is no proper reception desk for check-in, and the arrival process was not particularly easy to locate. Better signage or a more clearly designated reception area would make the experience much smoother for guests.
As for the restaurant, the food overall was decent, but the asparagus quiche was disappointing. It was quite dry, rather small in portion size, and unfortunately did not taste homemade and didn’t taste like asparagus.
