Pools not very clean. Beach full of smelly seaweed

Hotel was disappointing. Considering what we paid, it did not live up to expectations. Rooms are tired and shabby. Wind rattles through the doors. A/C so loud you can't have it on. Food is poor and overpriced and service slow. It's also pretty isolated. We ended up leaving early and going elsewhere.

L’hôtel est vieillot, le restaurant est très cher pour peu de choix, la plage est minuscule et peu praticable (cailloux rendant la baignade complexe), les deux piscines n’étaient pas très propres. Rapport qualité/ prix assez moyen même pour Tulum.

1. The beach is not cleaned, access to the water is difficult, and there are rocks instead of sand.
2. Hot water in the room is rare: we almost always had to take cold showers.
3. The hotel is far from the city and can only be reached by taxi.
4. The food at the hotel is very expensive and tasteless, so we had to go to neighbouring establishments.
5. The staff speak very poor English.
6. There is no entertainment whatsoever on the premises or outside the hotel. There is only one cenote and some kind of boat.
7. There are no shops with essential items either, there is only one 'mini shop' in the area. That's all.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons rejoins nos chambres , et elles n’étaient pas propre , lorsque nous marchons pied nu, des choses étaient sous les pieds. Ensuite , dès la première douche mes parents , et nous même , n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude , eau gelée , et pas de solutions apportée forcément.
En plus de ça , nous avons été obligé de fermer nous même l’alimentation d’eau de la chasse des toilettes car la cuve fuyait en permanence.
Une odeur d’ancien était présente..

Shower was weak and we hardly got warm water.

Nous devions récupérer la chambre à 15h nous sommes arrivés à 16h nous avons récupéré la chambre qu a 17h30 car elle n’était pas prête. L’attente avec un enfant nous a paru interminable. La chambre n'était pas propre de plus on nous a informé que le ménage ne serait pas fait le 1er janvier. La qualité n’est vraiment pas à la hauteur du prix. Le service dans sa globalité est long. Nous attendons toujours la carte des cocktails et un sèche cheveux que nous avons demandé.

Rooms are a bit tired looking and could use a deep cleaning. Our biggest complaint is our dinner at the restaurant was terrible. Overpriced, uninteresting, and pour quality. The so called grilled veg tasted microwaved and so did the skirt steak. The red sauce on the side of pasta tasted like soap. They replaced it with simple butter on noodles and it was inedible because of the amount of salt. The menu had only a fraction of what other reviews describe so I’m not sure what was going on behind the scenes. We went to Tulum to eat after that. We were also disappointed our ground unit didn’t have a hammock when the photos show one. Finally, and no fault of the hotel but my son got stung/bitten by a sand spider or scorpion in front of the hotel so be careful.

Sadly there were quite a lot things

Plunge pool was a cold, stagnant bath.
There was no hot water. When we informed reception, it did improve from cold to tepid.
Toilet would not flush and took 3 trips to reception to get it fixed.
Towels were old and stained
Had to go to reception every day to request coffee pods for the coffee machine in our room.

Everything was beautiful. The seaweed was bad but that’s just the season for it. The staff was cleaning it daily.

Do not stay here. We tried to stay here for six nights in the middle of June and had to leave after two nights. The rooms are dirty including soiled sheets, there is no hot water, the screens to the balcony are broken which allow lizards and other wildlife to come into the rooms. Please be advised that there are thick mounds of seaweed on the beach that give the entire property a disgusting odor. The beach is completely not useable. Also- this is not an all inclusive resort. Do not let photos trick you. There are two dirty pools with no shaded covering. There is no beach service. The hotel is off the beaten path but not in a way that makes it easy to get to anything else. The entire hotel is in serious need of a facelift. We were supposed to stay for six nights and had to leave after two days because my wife’s Renaud’s flared due to the lack of hot water. They refused to give us a refund for the other four nights- probably because they are in serious financial trouble due to the disrepair and mismanagement of their properties. They have now stopped responding to our messages. We are now going to have to dispute the charges to get our money back. I would definitely book a hotel pretty much anywhere else in tulum. Trust me. Do not make the same mistake we did. Do not stay here.

Nothing everything was perfect

We had a few issues during our stay. There was a problem with sargassum, the towels in our room weren't in great condition, and the bathing amenities were lacking. Also, a concierge was never available a young boy and a night shift concierge that was too slow, which made things even more inconvenient. But other than that, we loved the hotel.
