The location was absolutely fantastic literally right outside of the train station and with a 5 minute walk of the venue we was visiting.
Staff were unfriendly apart from the cleaner who was lovely.
Good location.
Lovely pub.
Bar staff friendly.
Food excellent.
Some of the bed linen & towels were stained (one of the towels had what appered to be blood stains, which was very worrying indeed). Needs a more thorough checking system, prior to guests arriving.
Room quite dark, & generally wasn't as clean as it could have been. Again, checking of rooms needs to be more thorough.
Room not cleaned on a daily basis. Did not have a sign in the room to request cleaning.
Didn't eat there so N/A
There was no room service. When I asked for the menu I was given a drinks only menu. I gave up as even if I was given the correct menu, there was absolutely no room anywhere to eat. The bar staff suggested I squeeze in at an already packed table. I asked if there was somewhere local where I could eat and the staff were unhelpful bordering on the rude. The lady who cleaned the rooms was the only member of staff that was very helpful and pleasant.
Everything! food was horrendous
The room was aesthetically pleasing.
1. Mattress was so old I could feel springs on my back.
2. Booked 2 nights, woke up and went for a 14 hour shift, came back to a room not cleaned. Bed not made, cups not cleaned. Towels in the shower where I left them.
3. The place is right under a train track and the noise from trains woke me up a few times 😫
4. Guests who leave before 11 am have to leave the hotel using stairs down the fire exit, HUGE HAZARD, stairs were wet and almost slipped and fell.
1. Location - perfect for the rail traveller, opposite North Western station and a couple of minutes' walk from Wallgate station.
2. The booking site I used showed its location truthfully, enabling me to make an informed decision about where to stay.
1. On my first attempt to shower, there appeared to be no hot water. A lady investigated very promptly and found that it was my mistake: I hadn't appreciated that the control turned anti-clockwise beyond what seemed to be a stop after one right-angle. You just need to show it who's boss and force it beyond that first stop! I'll know next time I stay.
2. Both bedside lights were inoperative. This one wasn't "my bad"! The same lady changed both bulbs.
3. The central heating is on at set times which apparently cannot be varied. I had to leave the hotel early one morning and the room hadn't been heated since the previous evening. Noticeable in January!
Location central to where we was going fab pub lovely and decor really enjoyed the stay was with a party 7 and we said we would stay again
Close to transportation and quite comfortable.
Having to leave via outside stairway in rain .
We didnt stay, but the women who was going to book us in, was extremely rude and abrupt!! We were very polite to her, so im not sure if that's just her or she maybe doesnt like people from our area, she made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The desk is also in a very small area, struggled to get to it, people from the pub were sat round the desk,, like a foot away, listening to details and the women's attitude it was embarrassing.
Close to where we was going
Nothing
Staff fantastic
nothing
Nothing in particular
Very poor value for money £90 room only for a very tired "hotel" in need of decoration. Not even a bottle of water and no breakfast available
