La ubicación al lado del castillo y el edificio tiene mucho encanto. La habitación es espaciosa. Los dueños muy amables.

Cons:

Ya avisan de que las habitaciones están en un primer piso y no hay ascensor. La cama no me pareció cómoda.

Séjour très agréable! Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans hésitation.
Pros:

Nous avons passé une excellente nuit à l’Hôtel du Coq d’Or à Jonzac. Nous avons été touchés par l’accueil particulièrement chaleureux et attentionné. Un grand merci pour le délicat geste de la maison avec le surclassement offert à l’occasion des 40 ans de mon mari — une attention qui nous a vraiment fait plaisir et qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus spécial.
La chambre était tout simplement magnifique, avec une authenticité et un charme dignes d’un château. L’établissement possède un chic indéniable et beaucoup de caractère : on a réellement l’impression de voyager dans le temps.

Cons:

Seul petit bémol : la literie manquait de confort à notre goût, le matelas étant un peu trop ferme.

Nice hotel in good location
Pros:

Nice restaurant with good food. Friendly English speaking proprietor. Character building opposite the chateau.

Cons:

My partner is lactose intolerant so there wasn't anything he could eat at breakfast except for a piece of dry bread for which he had to pay 10 euros.

Great location and lovely old building, comfy and charming
Pros:

Loved the location opposite the chateau which we had a view of and is lit up at night.
Very friendly helpful gentleman as host.
Loved the old building and the antique furniture.
And the 'old french style' bar area.

Cons:

Dining area is rather harshly lit.
