Praktisch am Flufhafen
Pros:

Lage am Flughafen. Gehobenes Niveau. Zimmergröße. Personal.

Cons:

Beleuchtung mangelhaft. Der gebuchte Ausblick aufs Rollfeld war im 4. Stock kaum gegeben. Fenster von außen total verdreckt.

Das Hotel hat eine Tolle Lage, wenn mann spät abends in Zürich ankommt und eigentlich nur noch was essen möchte und sich von der Reise zu erholen und dann ein paar Stunden zu schlafen. Das Zimmer war sauber und insgesamt bis auf einige Mängel in Ordnung. Leider konnte der Service mit dem Preis überhaupt nicht mithalten.

Cons:

Wir kamen kurz nach Mitternacht an. Der Check-in verlief sehr unpersönlich und wortkarg. Von der Ankunft bis zum Abschluss fehlten sowohl Kommunikation als auch die üblichen grundlegenden Informationen – Gastfreundschaft habe ich in meiner Hotelfachausbildung definitiv anders gelernt.

Meine ID wurde entgegengenommen, ich musste meine E-Mail-Adresse auf einen Zettel schreiben und anschliessend CHF 312 bezahlen. Währenddessen wurde der Mitarbeiter von einer anderen Gästin und einem Kollegen unterbrochen, sodass wir minutenlang unbeachtet an der Rezeption standen.

Nach Erhalt der Zimmerkarte gab es lediglich den Hinweis, dass sich das Zimmer im 3. Stock befindet und der Lift hinter der Bar ist. Keine Information zum Check-out oder andere nützliche Hinweise. Ein freundliches "Gute Nacht" hätte den Eindruck bereits verbessert.

Im Zimmer standen für drei Erwachsene zwei Einzelbetten und eine knarrende Notpritsche bereit, die übrigens auch mal unter der Matratze am Gestell abgestaubt werden dürfte. Die Fernbedienung des Fernsehers funktionierte nicht. An der Rezeption konnte weder eine funktionierende Fernbedienung noch Batterien organisiert werden. Als Entschädigung wurde uns ein kostenloses Frühstück angeboten, obwohl wir gar keines gebucht hatten und dieses Angebot für uns keinen Nutzen hatte. Zudem war die Fensterjalousie defekt.

Technische Defekte können vorkommen. Was mich jedoch am meisten enttäuscht hat, war die fehlende Gastfreundschaft und das Gefühl, lediglich abgefertigt zu werden.

Für den bezahlten Preis hätte ich deutlich mehr Service und Aufmerksamkeit erwartet. Beim nächsten Mal werden wir wohl lieber wieder ein paar Franken mehr für das Taxi und etwas zusätzliche Reisezeit in Kauf nehmen und uns in Kloten in einem weniger hochpreisigen Hotel einquartieren, in dem Gastfreundschaft noch etwas persönlicher gelebt wird. Zum Glück sind uns in der Umgebung einige gute Alternativen bekannt.

Solid airport hotel but there’s room for improvement
Pros:

Great location if you need to stay at the airport overnight

Cons:

Disappearing WiFi is really annoying. Especially if you are staying at the top floors. Facilities are understaffed

No way to unload the family van when you check in without blocking the road.
Pros:

Okay the facilities are adequate. The rooms are nice enouph. And once you make it into the room it clean and modern. So I can not complain about the facilities.

Cons:

There is no way to arrive at this hotel without blocking the road. There is no way of unpacking the van when you have little children with you and no help with the bags. We were forced to through everything out of the van as cars lined up behind up. When I pointed this out to the staff she insisted that we just missed a spot to stop and check in. We went out to look for the spot, there was a cone in the only available spot. So instead of saying you were correct, she tell me I should have parked in the No Parking zone!
