Great value, interesting location!
Pros:

This is an actual old prison.Very interesting building and history. Fantastic location. Great value for money considering Luzern prices.

Cons:

Hair dryer would've been better. There's a noisy restaurant below so no early sleepers!

Pros:

Great location in the old town, with a Coop Store located just across the street. The shower is among the best I have experienced in a hostel.

Cons:

There are no sockets or shelves at the upper bunk bed. There is no air conditioning in the room, it was bearable in early June, but it could be more uncomfortable during the summer.

Me gustó todo, es tal y como aparece en las fotos. Está muy limpio y resulta muy agradable. A pesar de que la habitación es pequeña, algo que sabes de antemano, me sentí muy bien en ella. El desayuno bastante correcto, muy saludable, fruta, cereales, varios tipos de pan, semillas, bebida de almendras o soja, además de leche, queso, chacina, mermelada, etc. ambiente muy agradable en el comedor.
Ubicación perfecta y personal de la recepción son encantadores.

Very interesting themed stay if u need it for 1 or 2 nights.
Pros:

The location is very good, the room is very clean and the beds are very comfortable.
The prison theme is very interesting but not convenient for a long stay, because it is really a prison 😃. The “private external” bathroom in the room description refers to the shower only, so the toilet is inside the room while the shower is separate outside but dedicated to the room and it’s also very good.

Cons:

There are no facilities in the room. It’s a bed and WC. The interesting prison theme comes with its disadvantages for example the window in the room is very small and very high with bars which doesn’t allow fresh air and light in proper amounts.

Good but awkward
Pros:

The room was comfortable, despite the lack of hooks. The 11 a.m. checkout was great compared to other accommodations in Europe.

Cons:

The bathroom was for both women and men, which felt awkward. It did not seem like the kind of bathroom suitable for mixed genders and everyone appeared uncomfortable with the arrangement. I would suggest using the downstairs bathroom for women and the upstairs one for men.

Good location and only 10 minutes of walk from train station.

Cons:

This sucks for family. We rented a 4 person room and it is worse than college dormitory size and we can’t even move if we put our bags. It would have been ok if they put 2 people in this room to allow for space to put bags. I can tolerate bunk beds but what a bullshit to cram 4 member family in a room smaller than a dorm room. I did not know that this used to be a prison in the past that was converted into hotel but it’s a pity that though they renovated the property - the size of rooms is about 1/3 of what you expect.

I will not recommend this for family. May be single people can be in shared dormitory setup but this is not suited for family.

J’ai adoré le fait que se soit dans une ancien prison, ça fait son charme et ça change, c’est très bien aménager
