Our stay was fantastic and we would definitely stay again
Pros:

The location and the charm of the hotel. The hotel is tucked away and quiet yet accessible to the towns by a small walk or the cliff railway. The room was clean and had everything we needed and felt homely. The staff are just excellent and we couldn’t have asked for better hostesses.

Cons:

There was nothing we didn’t like. It was fantastic

A warm welcoming family run hotel with fantastic views!
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chough's Nest it was warm and welcoming, the bedroom was very comfy and blissfuly quiet. The breakfast room was delightful, with a wonderful sea view - The takeaway pastries and scones was a lovely touch. Thanks for making us feel at home! The guest house is a great place to relax and get some needed downtime! We really like the area too. You wouldn't get this anywhere else.

Another lovely stay at the Choughs Nest
Pros:

We have now stayed at the Choughs Nest quite a few times, mostly in the Autumn and Spring. It is always a comfortable and cosy stay with lovely bedrooms and superb Breakfasts. The girls who took over from Mum and Dad a few years ago, run the hotel very well. The views from the rooms are amazing and the hotel is in a quiet location. We will return at some stage of course.

Ideal for couples wanting to explore the area.
Pros:

Yes, it's true, this lovely little family hotel IS built into the side of the cliff!
A great base for walking the 'Coastal Salt Path' & enjoying all that Lynton & Lynmouth have to offer.
Very comfortable (beds included), with interesting little details around the hotel making it really quaint. Helen & Kate, our hosts, made us feel very welcome, with scrummy meals, AND fruit & cakes for us to keep us going whilst we were out exploring/walking during the day.

Pros:

Excellent breakfast, particularly the free homemade cakes every day, very clean and comfy even though it is a Victorian building with decor to match, lovely views from any room

Cons:

Not a dislike but the hotel and surrounding area are for the fit and mobile only, lots of hills, steps and stairs

Pros:

Beautiful sea views, it was spotlessly clean and the Owners were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent and the homemade cakes were a lovely touch.

Cons:

Our only very minor complaint was that there wasn't much cupboard space. Fine for a short break but maybe a bit inconvenient if you were there for longer.

Delicious Food, Stunning Views & Great, Friendly Service
Pros:

I was working in Lynton and stayed here on my own for three nights. The single occupancy rate is exceptional value for a double room with stunning sea views and the most delicious, perfectly cooked breakfast. The bed was really comfortable and the area is incredibly peaceful. Sisters, Helen and Kate, made me feel so welcome and even provided homemade cakes each day for guests to take away. A perfect stay! Thank you.

Simply the best!
Pros:

We came here for 2 nights and could not fault a thing. The hotel looks lovely and welcoming from the outside and is just as welcoming inside. We were greeted warmly by Kate and shown to our room and it was lovely. Cosy, clean and with a lovely view. The hotel is ideally situated close to everything so you can park your car and just walk everywhere. The breakfasts were outstanding and freshly cooked and an excellent choice for all. It was such a nice touch having freshly made cakes every morning to take away to enjoy when you are out and about. The flapjacks were the most amazing I have ever tasted. Both Kate and Helen were amazing and happy to have a chat with you. They do a superb job of running the hotel and we will most definitely be back so a big thank you and well done.
