Entorn preciós, al costat d'un riu i una selva i camins per passejar. Amb piscina i bar/restaurant per prendre alguna cosa.
No té aire condicionat. Una mica aïllat, difícil trobar restaurants per anar a dinar o sopar i les habitacions no tenen cuina.
Aussergewöhnlich wunderschön… man taucht ein in den Urwald mit seinen Geräuschen und der unglaublichen Vegetation und wohnt in einem zauberhaften Häuschen mitten im Dschungel mit sehr geschmackvollen Luxus.. sehr zu empfehlen
Beim Abendessen gibt es noch Luft nach oben…

The property was gorgeous! So serene and beautiful in its simplicity. It did not compete with nature but instead highlight the beautiful natural setting all around it. The cabana was very comfortable and offered enough space. I also loved making use of the porch, including the hammock and small bistro table and chairs to enjoy breakfast every morning.
The staff was also exceptional — very friendly and kind. I cannot thank Alines (sp), Janet, Dina, Rosie, and Jose enough for their wonderful hospitality! They truly are gems!
The pool area and yoga temple (studio) were both incredible amenities. I was able to practice yoga on my own using the studio whenever there wasn’t a yoga class in session. The pool is beautiful and was so refreshing.
The restaurant was great for dinner. I ended up having the same thing multiple nights because it was just so delicious. I will say I think they could expand their lunch menu slightly to offer salads (the menu only has sandwiches and fruit bowls/ açaí bowls at this time).
Be aware that the property is about a 2-hour drive from San Juan and the hotel does not offer transportation service. Most guests seem to rent a car (ample parking is available at the property), as Casa Grande may be one of multiple stops along their trip. The hotel was able to recommend a dependable, independent driver to me that I used for transport. The cost of the transport was $200 each way, which seems high. (I traveled alone but the cost is more reasonable if it’s two people traveling.) Apparently Ubers aren’t readily available in Utuado and while you may be able to get one from the San Juan airport, the Google map directions to the hotel aren’t the most reliable. It’s also apparently difficult to get an Uber from the hotel back to San Juan. Make sure you plan ahead!
I loved everything about this place. The breakfast delivered in a beautifully prepared box felt magical, and the vegan options were delicious. Walking to La Ceiba, enjoying the river, having space for reading, and experiencing the peaceful, magical atmosphere made the stay truly special. The yoga class at El Templo was also an unforgettable highlight.

Lovely, peaceful location. Nice room and facilities.
Overpriced and unhelpful staff. Charged me $8 for a single espresso. I ordered it at the coffee shop, but got sent to reception to pay because I’d already checked out. Paid at reception, walked back to the coffee shop and got rewarded with a service charge on top, for my efforts. It was obviously also cold by the time I’d done all this. I was just after a little takeaway pick me up for the long drive to the coast, having just spent hundreds on overpriced food, a nice gesture would’ve been a complimentary coffee.
There’s very little options in the surrounding area, so you’re kind of forced to eat at the hotel. $30 for breakfast basket “for two” which consisted of one croissant, one small bread roll, a couple of spreads and a sad slice of ham and cheese is a joke. Wouldn’t stay again… which is a shame as it’s a nice hotel otherwise.
