The Cache Hotel and Lodgings

Intet personale, dog har jeg skrevet lidt med en af værterne, som også godkendte min parkering på stedet.
Der lugtede generelt ret indelukket alle vegne på lokationen.
Der lå et mundbind under dynen i en af sengene.
Der var en træplade skruet i stedet for vinduets nederste del, træ pladen var der boret et hul i hvor der var indsat et 75mm rør til en indestående Aircondition, som stod på og fyldte, larmede og ikke mindst knap nok virkede på gulvet.

Even after calling the representative, they didn't respond and only responded to text messages at their convenience.
Also, no drinking water was provided at all.

This might have been a one time issue but Friday night the bar downstairs was busy and for some reason a large group of people danced and were singing outside the bar out front. it was very noisy outside my window. I have no idea why they were outside vs inside the bar... it was very loud at 12:30 am... maybe it doesnt happen normally...but FYI it might

Le bruit ( mal insonorise : bruits de couloir, du bar restaurant juste en dessous) - les draps troues et pas repasses - le lavabos en mauvais état.

Both beds were so high off the ground that it was difficult to get in to them!

The hotel does not respond to messages via bookings.com or direct emails so it would seem there is no way to contact them in the event of any issues other than via a Canadian phone number which international tourists may not have. At the time of booking, I asked for confirmation regarding parking but got no response. Whilst I was staying at the room, I had an enquiry to replace the kettle but got no response. Finally, on the last night, the entire building lost power which was not restored even by the time of check-out the next morning resulting in having to navigate down the stairs with suitcases in the complete dark. Being above a restaurant/pub, loud music on weekends can be expected, but the lack of responses from the hotel was the disappointing aspect.

Could of had a/c as it was a really hot day

If you judge the entry, stairs and hallway it is disgusting. However the room was quite adequate ,warm, clean and the bed comfortable. So get over the entry

The shared entrance (with a bar under the property) and the stairs up to the room were absolutely filthy. There was no receptionist/host and the doors were unlocked so it didn’t feel particularly safe. The TV didn’t work and there was no view as listed

It's a bit an older building above a pub, however the pub has a great beef dip.

No front desk or any staff any contact with anyone was via texting. filthy entrance and stairs and halls.. mouse trap at the bottom of the stairs it stunk badly but not in the room

That I didnt stay longer!

No complaints. I don’t understand why this hotel doesn’t have a better rating. We booked it because it was the cheapest room we could find and now it’s where we’re going to stay every time we come to golden.

The rooms are directly above a bar which has live music. Important to be aware of this, as this was not disclosed before paying. You will not be able to rest in the rooms until the live band is done for the evening so plan your trip accordingly. This might be OK, provided you plan on being in the rooms after 1 AM to sleep.
