A very pleasant and relaxing place to stay
Pros:

Lovely well kept property. Very quiet and we felt very safe there despite being the only residents on the property! Gabriel was lovely and helpful.

Cons:

It’s a bit of a walk into the centre of town - we knew that ahead of time - but just an FYI for others. Izamal is a lovely town and you feel very safe there with one caveat - scooters are everywhere and you have to be a bit careful crossing roads especially at night.

Nice place within short walk of tourist areas and restaurants.
Pros:

It felt secure with room and car behind a tall locked gate. Gabriel was welcoming and very helpful. The AC worked well. The linens were nice. And the pool was clean. Cold but refreshing.

Cons:

It’s a busy bustling area with lots of noise from scooters and street dogs.

Staying in a villa like this is a unique and memorable experience; recommended
Pros:

A beautiful villa with a large and pretty yard, pool, and all amenities.

Cons:

It was a bit strange that one bathroom didn’t have a door other than a curtain, but that wasn’t a problem because the villa has a number of other bathrooms.

Izsmal doesn’t have a list of hotels you can count on so these little mom and pop shops is your best bet.
Pros:

Clean, comfortable even if it’s off the beaten pass, and you can’t beat the price. No luxury here, but for a night, it will do. Gabriel was very attentive and helpful setting us up with a driver to get us to Merida.

Cons:

Getting anywhere will take a good 15-18 minutes if like us, you’re walking everywhere.

Rustic charm
Pros:

This place was super because my family and I had a whole house and exclusive use of the pool. The breakfast was prepared by a super woman who was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

It is a short walk into the main square along quite run down streets but very close to a super restaurant that was rightly number 1 on Trip Advisor- Kinich.
