Pros:

I liked this location at the top of the hills, you have some places for quite walks with a good valley views.
Staff of the hotel is friendly and ready to help with the requests, I liked the restaurant - the food was beautifully presented, and I really appreciated the attention to detail.

A secluded antiquated property with an extremely caring manager
Pros:

The manager was extremely kind and caring, went out of his way to have us satisfied.

The area is serene & peaceful, the Villa has a nice garden surrounding.

The huge room, while antiquated, is well maintained, ncludes a small fridge & an electrical kettle.

Cons:

An old British vacation home that was divided to several rooms.
Located on a mountain, ~10min drive from Matale center.
Although on a high mountain the view can't be seen.

We were given a room that had an improvised shower & restroom built in it, which had serious mold and odor issues. We requested the manager & he gave us a bigger room that was fine.

Be ready to change your hotel after arriving here
Pros:

Hard to tell as we didn't actually sleep at the hotel
Outside of the hotel, some 5 guys were partying and I guess they liked it

Cons:

The bathrooms are in terrible condition, I can't emphasize this enough.
Other than that, rooms are specious, but not-well planned

Highly recommended for family outings with kids.
Pros:

It was a present stay. Food, Staff and Facilities were excellent. Rooms have ample amount of space and equipped with all amenities. The pool was good than expected and can accommodate around 6 people. Very relaxing environment.
