Suuuuuper voor een koppel en ook voor sportieve mensen
Pros:

De Bulgaarse 'spirit' die in Shipka heerst en de locatie als uitval omdat ik een hoogtetraining wou rijden van daaruit naar Buzhludja (1440 meter) en van daaruit naar Shipka monument (12 km verder). Daarna een warme douche en een dutje om te bekomen. Hier kun je als optie een super ontbijt bestellen waarna je probleemloos qua energie om je fiets de bergen in 'vliegt'. Ze hebben ook alle kanelen op televisie, dat vonden mijn partner en ik ook wel heel leuk en zeker een extraatje. En je zit natuurlijk vlakbij de mooiste kerk van Bulgarije en kijkt uit op de werkelijke rozenvallei. Kazanluk ligt overigens op 10 km met de auto ook. Suuuuper dus.

Pros:

The position is great and the owner has been exceptional into helping us organizing a day trip to the Shipka Monument and the Buzludzha memorial.
Also, the place provides a laundry service, on request

Great hotel, I would return
Pros:

Very nice and friendly family hotel.
This hotel makes a great base for the Shipka Monument, Buzludzha, the Tracian Valley and other monuments around the village.
The breakfast was very tasty and well served, it's really worth the 8 Eur paid in October 2025
I would definitely return here if I ever have the opportunity to return to this part of Bulgaria.

Pros:

Tosha and Ivan are really huge characters. They are truly helpful, always try to do the best they can to help you. They also have a lots of tips if you want to travel around Shipka, like going to the Shipka and Buzludzha monuments. The room was clean and tidy, nice breakfast, can not complain

Ideal place to visit Valley of the Thracian Kings
Pros:

From the moment we entered, we were treated like welcome guests. They were responsive to our every need, the room was cute, and the beds were comfortable. We got a valley view.

We got breakfast for each morning, and it couldn't had been better. More than we could eat! And we enjoyed conversion with the owner.

The location was ideal. We walked to the archeological center and walked to the cathedral, and we could see 3 tombs from our room.

Cons:

There was nothing we could say to improve. It was great.
