Pros:

Die Lage war sehr zentral, alles in der Altstadt kann zu Fuß erreicht werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war klein, aber fein - es war alles vorhanden. Die (klimatisierten) Zimmer werden "Zellen" genannt (waren früher die Wohnzellen der Mönche). Der Swimmingpool ist bei 38°C eine Wohltat, ebenso der kleine begrünte Patio mit Orangenbäumen. Wir konnten sogar einen der limitierten Parkplätze nutzen. Das Personal war aussergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit, vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

My stay at the Pousada Convento de Évora was nothing short of spectacular. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience in Portugal, look no further.

The hotel’s location is absolute perfection. Situated right in the very centre of the city, it serves as the ultimate base for exploring Évora. You are just steps away from incredible historic landmarks, charming cobblestone streets, and fantastic local dining.

The building itself is a marvel - a historic convent that has been beautifully and meticulously preserved. Walking through the corridors feels like stepping back in time, yet it offers all the comforts of a high-end luxury hotel.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying in the Master Suite, and it exceeded all expectations. It is an incredibly luxurious and expansive space, featuring: a beautifully decorated sitting room that felt both grand and comfortable, a private terrace, perfect for relaxing and taking in the atmosphere and the ultimate convenience of two fully equipped bathrooms.

The attention to detail, the rich history, and the top-tier hospitality made this an unforgettable visit. I cannot recommend the Pousada Convento de Évora highly enough—a true gem!

Pros:

Hotel is an ideal location surrounded by several of the top museums and historic places of the city.
Super helpful staff with everything. The hotel is in an old convent, so at times you felt transported back in time.
