Room was great but due to the noise I wouldn't stay here again.
Pros:

Room was much nicer than I had anticipated.
Breakfast was really good.

Cons:

There was so much noise and partying going on all night right outside the hotel. It didn't quiet down until after 3 am.

Pros:

Die Lage ist mittendrin in der Altstadt.

Cons:

Durch die Lage ist es am Wochenende nachts lauter.
Da das Bad keine Tür hat und die Dusche ebenfalls offen ist, ist das Bad leider nass.

Lokatie uitstekend, service kan echt heel veel beter.
Pros:

De lokatie, zo midden in het centrum was helemaal geweldig. Je loopt zo het centrum in, waar veel te doen is, mooie winkels en veel horeca gelegenheden. Het bed was uitstekend.

Cons:

Wat absoluut tegenviel was het 'openbare toilet' op de kamer, zonder deur om enige privacy te hebben. Er was best wat achterstalling onderhoud en zo her en der best wel wat stof.

Onze deur sloot behoorlijk moeizaam, moest met een enorme knal gesloten worden (niet leuk voor de buren).

In de badkamer was een stuk van het pleisterwerk weg, waardoor er vocht in de muur trok en er een behoorlijk blaas zat. Volgens mij lekte het bad ook, want na gebruik lag er allemaal water onder. Handzeep en doucheschuim waren nagenoeg op en werden bij de schoonmaak niet bijgevuld.

Koffie en thee faciliteit was op de gang, maar water moest je dan toch weer op de eigen kamer halen. Het geluid van het apparaat moet niet leuk zijn geweest voor de kamer ernaast.

Het ontbijt was wat karig voor 15 euro, met aardbeien die duidelijk rotte plekken hadden.

De gastvrijheid van de eigenaar kan echt wel beter. Wat is er moeilijk om je gasten een goede reis te wensen of ze te bedanken voor hun verblijf? Meer dan een 'Jullie kunnen er daar uit' kwam er niet.

Prachtige plek, mooier kamer en heel goed ontbijt.
Pros:

Locatie is super! Midden in het oude centrum, vlak bij de kaasmarkt.

Cons:

Er was geen föhn in de kamer terwijl dat wel bij de omschrijving vermeld stond. Bij navraag bleek dat deze items nogal eens meegenomen worden en werd er alsnog een föhn beschikbaar gesteld, super!

perfect location with friendly old world charm
Pros:

In the middle of the nice old quarter of Alkmaar. Very nice restaurant downstairs. Comfortable room, but with a bit of street noise from the narrow pedestrian street. Very friendly atmosphere and lots of character in these old houses.

Cons:

A shower curtain would have been a welcome improvement, as the whole bathroom was wet and slippery after using the shower.

Excellent location.

Cons:

The room has a bathroom and a toilet as part of the room. Very unpleasant. At night you can hear the air conditioning and the units from the kitchen. Very unpleasant.
Not suitable for tourists with their own car, it is almost impossible to park in the area, the garage is about 800 meters away.
