Disappointing stay no in the pub
Pros:

Free Parking, decent recently installed shower.

Cons:

You don’t stay in the pub, but it Brandon House opposite which has seen better days. We were on the third floor, there’s no stairs. It’s misleading to see a photo of a pub? No breakfast on offer. Basic facilities, dirty windows and stained carpet.

A good place to stay for a night or two local and near the main town centre.
Pros:

Room was spacious and modern came with toiletries.

Cons:

The shower was a bit difficult to operate took a few minutes to work out how to switch it on as there is a larger overhead shower and regular hand held shower head.

As I wanted to stay close by to Center Parcs to visit Family Christmas Day,it was perfect.
Pros:

The Room was Very Spacious and was comfortable and even though it was 2 Flights of stairs above the Pub, I didn’t hear any noise from the Customers Below.

Cons:

The stairs (2 Flights) were very awkward to climb as the stairs were very steep and tiny steps in a circular staircase (not straight up). Being 60 years Old I felt it difficult to climb with bags, etc.There was a spider joining me in my 2 night stay, in the bathroom and there was also No Hot water in the Kitchen area to was my Coffee mug properly if I wanted an alternative Tea or vice versa.

Really poorly run, no Wi-Fi, TV in room didn't work without Wi-Fi (which there was none). No chair to sit on in bedroom, no desk.

Room was clean and tidy but the building it self was scruffy looking. Friendly staff at the bar

Friendly girl at the bar/restaurant

Cons:

No more rooms at the pub side hotel so sent over to Brandon Hall. Walked over and homeless guy greeted me. He tried charging at me until i turned around then he walked off.

No bedside lights or plugs, very noisy till very late at night/ early morning , very poor drainage in shower and very long run off for hot water.

Booked 3 nights but could only tolerate 2
Pros:

Clean bedding and clean en-suite
Mattresses comfy
Dogs allowed at no extra cost
The cleaners were friendly

Cons:

Booked 3 nights to visit parents nearby
Sadly could only stay for 2 nights due the noise /lack of sleep
On arrival I was told the family room I had booked was not available? However 5 minutes later Room 6 was available ?
I had read poor reviews prior to booking but felt it would be ok to “sleep “
How WRONG I was
Traffic noise I understand on main road but rowdy singing swearing till 1am I didn’t expect.
The place in desperate need of TLC and updating. A mirror and maybe a small fridge in the room would be helpful
We seriously took a chance but despite not having high expectations we couldn’t stay another night
Such a shame
