Very friendly staff and a charming inn
Pros:

It felt like a really authentic experience of an old school Scottish inn. The staff were tremendously kind and friendly. We stopped into the bar and had a great time catching some of the World Cup over a few pints.

very much a once off.
Pros:

I thought Hotels served food. There was no breakfast or dinner provided. I did get a microwave in my bedroom.

Cons:

I have stayed in better bed and breakfasts. At least there was food available. The smell of smoke from cigarettes was awful.

Very well equipped room and brilliant location
Pros:

I enjoyed my night here. It is right in the centre of Cullen with a supermarket across the road and a few cafés and nice shops very nearby. It is more of a guest house with a downstairs public bar (than a hotel) but fully sufficient for a night or two. They don't offer food but I was very impressed to find a microwave and plate and cutlery in my room, along with the usual kettle. So you can easily bring food from the shop or a takeaway to eat in your room. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and the ensuite shower worked well. I was greeted politely and when taken to my room I was shown the heating, which was very thoughtful.

Cons:

The building is a bit dated, so don't come for a fancy trip away,. Do come for a traditional guest house vibe in a lovely Scottish coastal village.

Pleasant, quiet, affordable accommodation in good central location for Moray coast.
Pros:

Good location for my purposes - visiting the Portsoy Boat Festival (10 mins drive), and in the centre of Cullen, close to sea, museum and shops.
Pleasant helpful landlord, quiet room, comfortable bed, microwave and kettle, with tea, coffee etc.
Bathroom large and modern, shared with one other room (though I never saw anyone else), and second toilet available right beside it.
Everything very clean and pleasant.

Cons:

Wifi signal not very strong.

A good proper room at in inn, on the beautiful Moray coast
Pros:

A true proper inn. Got the key from the bartender, and they give me a quick tour of the room. I paid a bit extra for the en-suite bathroom. Restaurants and shops in easy walking distance.

Cons:

Just a little dented and dingy in spots but it was clean in the ways that mattered.
