Situated in a delightful wee town it’s hard to fault anything about our stay. The pub was good, the food was good, the atmosphere was good and the staff were good.
The location in Dornoch is good and easy access to restaurants and the beach.
This is a hotel and bar, Scotland were playing in the world cup the night we stayed and the game started at 2am in the morning and there was a late bar on, as Scotland won you can imagine the noise. I understand this is a locals pub too but having raucous late nights with populated hotel rooms above are mutually exclusive, so on these occasions do one or the other.
Not much.
Avoid this place.
On a 14‑day Land’s End to John O’Groats trip, this was our worst stay. Despite the high prices, we could have accepted the tired accommodation, but the poor customer service made us feel like our being there was a problem.
There was no help with storing our two expensive bikes, the dining table was sticky and we were told last orders were 22:30, yet refused a drink at 22:20 as the till had already been cashed up.
We even overheard a derogatory comment from staff as we left.
Excellent location
Showers weren’t great. Beds not that comfortable.
Good Breakfast
Staff were efficient
Nothing
Gezellig boven de pub.
-
Good location.
Clean.
Friendly staff
Great food in bar
Good breakfast
Noisy beer garden
No car park
Noise throughout night from generator
Central town location.
Small bedroom, tiny en-suite, not very clean, cooking smells from the kitchen, corridor doors were filthy and breakfast was mediocre to say the least.
Good location
Decent bar meal
One room fine size, but directly above the bar.
Second room smaller and tiny bathroom,no bath.
Great location in the small town of Dornoch. The full Scottish breakfast was top notch.
Small weak shower in the room.
