The hotel is fortunate enough to have the largest city center car park in Wells. However, the spaces are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that our restaurant can get busy and booking is advisable.
Due to the age and construction of the property there is no elevator access to higher floors- if this is an issue please contact the hotel who will be happy to assist you in allocating the right room for your needs.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Location and breakfast
Hotel is clearly showing its age. Hotel Parking situation is not ideal - when full, the only options are some way off.
location perfect for Wells , a city where a hotel car park is a must. Very nice breakfast with attentive young staff.
They were a bit sharp on us vacating the car park by 11am , could have been a bit more relaxed about that since check in for the next day starts from 2pm.

a desk top fan in this summers heat is not upto the job, impossible to sleep.

Staff were great very helpful. It was my husband’s birthday and they very kindly upgraded our room.
The room was very hot with only a small fan.

We understand it is very old and has character but there is no excuse for the grubbiness and uncleanliness! Dust in room, poor standard of finishes in particular the bathroom.
Albergo di charme posizionato centralissimo a pochi metri dalla cattedrale. Anche se ha un apetto un po' vecchiotto, si rivela poi un ambiente di interesse quasi storico.
La moquette ovunque ... tipica delle strutture inglesi datate
A warm welcome from the staff team. Allergies were catered for in the restaurant. Very reasonably priced and great location.
We had a lovely very spacious room which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The dining room was bright and very comfortable with a great choice of cooked breakfast options.

The hotel has an excellent position in the centre of Wells. Perfectly placed for the Cathedral an Bishop's Palace as well as pubs restaurants and shops. The parking is a real bonus. Would stay again.
