Ein schöner Aufendhalt, wir kommen gern wieder.

Das Ambiente, die gute Anbindung, toller Italiener zum Essen um die Ecke, gute Betten, sehr ruhig.

Cons:

Das Frühstück finde ich überteuert, es gab nicht mal Kaffeespezialitäten, nur Filterkaffee und auch nicht mal reine Haferflocken, sondern alles mit Zucker.

I initially thought this was a great option, but after my stay, I’d probably think twice before booking again. The hotel looks better in photos than it feels in person, and a few things stood out for the wrong reasons.

We checked in, dropped off our bags, and headed out. When we returned and got into bed, I found hair and a bug under my pillow. The bed itself was a king, but the duvet was sized for a twin—so we couldn’t both stay covered comfortably. The shower was also a challenge: the handheld showerhead wouldn’t stay in place, forcing you to hold it with one hand while trying to wash with the other, otherwise only half your body got wet.

As for the staff, I believe they leave after 9 or 10 PM. There was someone downstairs, but it seemed more like a doorman or security contact for the building, not hotel staff available to assist with in-room issues.

Also, we were charged a €4.80 city or country tax that we didn't encounter at another hotel we stayed at in the same city. It had to be paid in cash—using a card would have cost more, which felt a bit odd.

It might still work for a very short stay if you're out most of the time, but given the cleanliness and maintenance issues, I wouldn’t rush to stay

het ontbijt was erg goed geregeld en ook heel fijn personeel. Het personeel bij de balie was erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. al met al een erf fijne acomedatie ik zou deze zeker aantaden bij anderen en mogelijk zelf ook weer bezoekken.

Cons:

het zou fijn geweest zijn als er een waterkoker of iets degelijks op de kamer was.

Beautiful old building, top location, but noisy
Pros:

Excellent location and a very competitive price, hard to beat for central Hamburg. Staff is friendly, some of the rooms are spacious, windows large, and the hardwood floors are beautiful.

Cons:

It’s an old building, floors are creaky (so you’re bound to hear your upstairs neighbor walking around at 6am). Bathrooms haven’t been updated in decades and shower stalls are so small only very tiny guests can use them.
