Para os fãs de Jorge Amado, conhecer o Vesúvio e Bataclan é legal, mas é só.
Pros:

Interessante conhecer o patrimônio arquitetônico que é o Ilhéus Hotel, entretanto este precisa de revitalização. Moveis do quarto, que não são muito antigos, feios e mal conservados, colchão ruim. Pra terem uma ideia, só tinha tomada de três pinos no banheiro, tive que usar meu laptop ligado nela, pelo menos o banheiro estava cheiroso. O elevador panorâmico antigo de portas manuais, apesar da aparência de sujo, muito bom de conhecer - uma viagem no tempo.

Localização excelente, e o atendimento foi muito bom. Próximo aos principais pontos turísticos do centro histórico. Fica a poucos metros da catedral, do bar Vesúvio e do bataclã. Tem uma ótima vista da orla do rio logo em frente. O quarto que peguei não tinha ar mas o ventilador de teto deu conta e também fiquei uns períodos com a janela aberta curtindo a brisa. Banheiro simples mas com um chuveiro com ducha bem forte e quente. Não tem café da manhã porém eu tive boas opções pro café dá manhã nas proximidades. Avalio todos os aspectos como positivo porque dentro do que foi proposto vejo que fui bem atendido. Trata-se de um imóvel antigo e como tal tem suas limitações, mas isso fica claro no anúncio. É uma experiência diferente pra quem quer ficar num lugar histórico com características de época e com o primeiro elevador do interior baiano. Pelo custo benefício eu me hospedaria novamente.
