Pros:

Die Zimmer liegen direkt über dem Pub, dort war ab 10 Uhr Ruhe.
Das Essen war gut, das Pub hat einen schönen Biergarten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
Die Zimmer und die Gemeinschaftsräume waren sehr sauber.

Pratique et bien situé pour les activités sur le volcan.
Pros:

Central par rapport aux visites du volcan.
Simple et relativement bon marché.
Supérette juste en face.

Cons:

L’entretien général laisse à désirer (cuisine, salle de bain) Carte de menus très basique (il n’y que le restaurant de l’hôtel dans le village).

Sharing bathrooms but view of Mount Taranaki
Pros:

A very friendly greeting from the proprietor who also helped carry in our suitcases.
Clean bathroom and loos. Allowed the key to the extra bathroom when more guests were expected.
Good size kitchen. Lovely sitting area with comfy chairs.
Good mattress and reasonable pillows.
Meals available in the pub part
We were made very welcome by all staff.
Parking in the private car park.
Quiet

Cons:

No cooking facilities other than a microwave.
A few squeaky floorboards so hard to be quiet when others sleeping.

Pros:

We received excellent service and have no negative comments whatsoever. The location is very good, and depending on each guest's strategy and needs, it was perfect for us.

Cons:

I want to highlight one point: due to roadworks, we left Auckland, and this work caused a section of the highway to be closed, which delayed us considerably. We arrived very late, tired, and hungry. However, Mike was kind enough to serve us a delicious pizza and was very attentive. I highly recommend the place; the city is charming, perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet.

Michel is a great host too :) This township is close to Mt. Taranaki, if the weather is kind, you can see its beautiful shape.
